• Responsibility for total legal compliance of health and safety with local and international laws, insurer requirements and industry best practice.
• Liaison, co-ordination and organization with local authorities as regard to HSE inspection, audit, visit and presentation.
• Development and implementation of HSE plan for events, service provider/ contractor. Other safety plan for new mall asset.
• Implement, update and manage Crisis management plan. Integration of other departments as part of crisis management team.
• Revise and update emergency evacuation layout plan. Advise and Implementation of Emergency response facilities and procedures.
• Planning and Execution of Emergency drills in co-ordination with Fire and Safety Department.
• Regular HSE & Fire Audits and Inspections of the to ensure safety of personnel and properties to ensure that risks are under control, submit report to management with recommendations for improvement.

• Executed the responsibilities of a fire officer, attending emergency turnouts Fire and gas leak emergency, turnout selection, approach to site, positioning of fire crew/vehicle, coordinating with incident controller, formation of search and rescue team, Appliance selection, command/ control over the hot zone team, application of fire extinguishing media, dispersal of vapour, Execution of evacuation plan for workers, emergency sirens, reinforcement of supplies to site, Onsite command post and establishing of communication with fire fighters. Fire suppression and leak controls techniques in industrial complex.

Operation of fire extinguishers, fire hoses, SCBA Sets, live tank fires.
• Training for emergency response crew. Training identified, case history studies, drills - hose, ladder, pump, chlorine toner, SCBA set, pump, and rescue. Practical training - Pool fires, jet fires, Tank fires, Column fires, Wagon fire, Pump seal fires, Smoke chamber operation. Chlorine valve leak arrest, pipe rupture lead arrest.
• Fixed fire protection system audit: Passive fire protection. Fire doors, fire proofing, cable entering seals etc. Active fire protection: manual water spray. Automatic water spray, foam system, foam tank levels, isolation valves, valve pits, Chlorine kits, escape routes etc. quality audits of rescue tools- pneumatic lifting bags, leak sealing pads, hydraulic pumps, spreader, cutters. Various power saws, lifting and pulling winches, pneumatic light masts, personal protection suits. Safety audit in the plant. (safety audit includes: inspection of hot work sites, handling and storage of hazardous chemicals sites, housekeeping audits etc.)
• Maintenance Planning activity-Fire extinguishers, Fire hose annual leak test, SCBA set and escape sets. Portable high discharge monitors, Fire tender/ vehicles:
• Planning as per pre-incident plan and participation in mock fire drills. Front line disaster control actions, coordination with emergency staffs, debriefing session, Recommendation compliance and close out follow up.
• During the training period of 3 years as a part of curriculum have attended various types of Fire & Emergency calls. Handled all the works related to Fire Emergency & Rescue Services including Fire Prevention/Fire Inspections, Training to various Communities/Sectors, Engineering level problem solving advice to various occupancies
• Internal training to junior safety officer trainees regarding theoretical ( Fire Engineering Science, fire Safety, Fire Operations & Services, leadership & management in Fire & rescue Services, Human resource management in Fire service) & practical application of Fire Tactics & tackling, Donning & doffing of various suites like fire proximity suite, Chemical suite, BA set etc. It also included how to make Log reports, Accident investigation reports & Occurrence reports etc.
• Conducted Audits & Inspections for various Buildings (Residential, Educational, Institutional, Assembly, Business, Industrial, Storage, Hazardous) to identify & advice the requirement of Dry/Wet risers, Hydrant Systems, Monitors, Ventilation & pressurization, Fire wall/Stop, Fire Towers, travel distance, Exit discharge & Fire load Calculation etc.
• The training included Fire Fighting, Communication procedures, Simulated Fire Drills, Hose Drill, Rescue Drill, Breathing Apparatus training, ladder drill, Pump Drill, training skills.
