Trainer & Development Specialist II at Raytheon
  • Iraq - Baghdad
  • My current job since September 2011

My core function is the training of Iraq Army soldiers in the concepts of Logistics/Warehousing. I am assigned to the War Fighter FOCUS Southwest Asia (SWA) Program supporting combat operations training in Iraq. Through classroom instruction I teach the 50+ soldiers associated with the General Depot Center in all aspects of Logistical warehousing to include strategic planning, preventative maintenance on equipment, facility and material cycle and annual inventory counts. I also instruct them in facility safety, security, HAZMAT inspections and government sensitive items integrity. I conduct daily performance audits using a database spreadsheet and tracking compliance and completion dates. Weekly a Site Report is prepared which includes documentation, future training plans for staff, and suggestions to increase efficiency and reduce labor cost. I work closely with the OSC-I and other departments involved with the War Fighter Focus Project to ensure requirements, compliance with policies and regulations, and all FMS-Foreign Military Sales material is reported forward and accounted for.
