Duties & Responsibilities (Human Capital):
• Responsible for all HC activities, including recruitment, training and employee welfare.
• Preparation and review of employee job descriptions, including salary packages.
• Maintenance of employee salary revisions in accordance with projects and corporate/divisional budgets.
• Coordination of bi-annual employee performance evaluations.
• Annual presentation and daily maintenance of the HC Departmental budget.
Achievements:
• Obtained ISO 9000 (1994) certificate for the Trading Division under direct responsibility; this was the first ever ISO 9000
Certificate awarded to a Kuwaiti Contracting Company.
• Established effective lines of communication for the benefit of mediation with the Public Authority (PA) for Industry and
Environment.
• Established conditions of industrial material import exemptions with PA (Industry) and the Kuwait Ministry of Commerce
and Industry.
• Obtained the chemical substance import license(s) with the Environmental Public Authority (EPA).
• Obtained exemption to manage and maintain the commercial visit visa terminal under the authority of the Ministry of
Interior (MOI).
• Coordinated the categorisation of the existing industrial land permits from a temporary to permanent status.

Duties & Responsibilities:
As a part of a major company restructuring I was assigned the task of implementing processes introducing standardization of
correspondence procedures, complete archiving systems, promotion and registration of company with customers and
government agencies. This is in addition to the ongoing work as Quality Representative and the revision of the management
systems to comply with ISO 9000:2000 Edition.

Provided necessary negotiation and contracts management techniques in the Oil and Gas industries in parallel with legal
support & knowledge.
• Management of outsourced services for Corporate Legal Advice and litigation services, and Quality Assurance
consultancy, accreditation and associated audits.
• Managed and participated extensively in tender preparation, evaluation leading to contract award (processes inclusive
of, monitoring, and other related activities).
• Ensured related departments are oriented and briefed in relation to all tender aspects and requirements, thus
guaranteeing compliance to all requirements from all concerned parties.
• Ensured organizational pre-qualification in line with tender requirements, exercises and evaluations required.
• Develop company’s capabilities, inclusive of the company’s approvals of an international quality assurance standard.
• Introduce and Implement standardized processes in line with ISO Quality Management System.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain the reputation of the Company by effective implementation of Quality Systems,
such as the revision of the management systems to comply with ISO 9000:2000 Edition.
• Manage & coordinate the supply chain department, including materials handling and cost management.
• Acting as the “Company Representative for Quality Assurance” including administration of the Quality Assurance
Management System.
• Administration of a centralized communication system for the receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing official
company correspondence transmitted by letter, fax or email.
• Develop and direct an assurance program for compliance with corporate Standards of Business Conduct, Business
ethics, code of conduct and annual declaration, labour law, Company letter of compliance for contractors and sub-
contractors.
• Communicate the compliance program to all partners in areas of responsibility.
• Conduct compliance audits and/or spot-checks, whilst maintaining confidentiality and recommended corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company’s standard contractual clauses and the Kuwait Labour Law in line with the Legal
Department and Supply Chain Division.
• Review and recommend changes to Company's Code of Conduct and Declaration of Compliance.
• Other administrative exercises as delegated by the Chairman & Managing Director from time to time.

• Management of the Trading Division, the Administrative and Personnel departments and the Labour Camp.

Management of promoting, selling and delivering principal product and services to the Ministry of Electricity & Water,
Kuwait Oil Company and Kuwait National Petroleum Company. Sales also included non- represented products (open sourcing
and supply) using local and overseas contacts.
• Acted as the procurement arm of the company’s operating divisions for project materials, stock, consumables and
construction/workshop equipment. All activities of the Division were executed as a profit centre.
• Obtained approval of trading division systems to ISO 9000:1994, (the first Kuwaiti company to obtain this internationally
recognized certification and the first certification in the Gulf to the 1994 edition).
• Obtained ISO 9000 certificate for the Trading Division under direct responsibility, (first ISO 9000 certificate awarded to a
Kuwaiti Contracting Company).

Management of sales teams and efforts.
• Promotion and sales of furniture produced in the company’s local factory.
• Management of sales efforts from the Kuwait showrooms and export purposes.
• Preparation, submission and follow up of tenders for furnishing schemes to private and government clients on behalf of
the Project and Tenders Division.
