• Inspect coating, wrapping, holiday testing, and ensure compliance with coating specifications.
• Inspect and monitor Heat Shrink Sleeve (HSS) coating activities for pipeline field joints including
surface preparation, pre-heating, sleeve application, shrinking process, and cooling.
• Verify surface preparation requirements (cleanliness, roughening, dryness) prior to HSS application.
• Check pre-heating temperature, sleeve positioning, overlap, and uniform shrinking as per
manufacturers data sheet.
• Witness holiday testing of HSS-coated field joints and ensure acceptance as per project specifications.
• Verify installation of station piping, spools, fittings, and supports in accordance with drawings.
• Ensure contractors follow proper welding consumable storage, drying, and handling procedures.
• Prepare daily reports, inspection records, and maintain QA/QC documentation accurately.
• Perform inspection of storage tanks as per API 650 and project specifications.
• Verify tank foundation, ring wall preparation, and settlement benchmarks.
• Inspect shell course installation, verticality, roundness, and fit-up alignment.
• Monitor welding of shell-to-shell, shell-to-bottom, and roof structure welds.
• Witness vacuum box testing for bottom plates and dye penetrant/MPI for critical joints.
• Inspect internal and external tank coatings, surface preparation, DFT, and holiday testing.
• Witness hydrotest/filled-water test for storage tanks, including nozzle leak checks.
• Review radiography reports of shell welds and ensure compliance.
• Verify installation of tank appurtenances—manholes, nozzles, ladders, platforms, and roof structures.
• Ensure tank nameplate, grounding, and earthing installation meet standards
