Reporting to Fuel Division Manager. Main responsibilities includes:
Planning, organizing, leading, and controlling all aviation fuel procurement operations (sourcing, contracting and vendor evaluation, …) involving more than 150 suppliers covering more than 1500 airports across 4 continents.
Setting department strategy, defining tasks & KPIs, and leading daily operations of the department.
Forecasting Annual fuel volumes (exceeding 50 Million USG) to be purchased for over 500 customer destinations.
Strategic Sourcing for aviation fuel supply ensuring best product and service quality levels as per IATA standards.
Identifying and pre-qualifying vendors’ process.
Negotiating & Contracting qualified vendors through competitive bidding, call for tender process.
Periodically reviewing contracts terms, prices and payment terms to ensure best rates and terms are obtained.
Vendors Performance and Relations Management.
Reviewing department performance against set objectives. Data analysis.
Market intelligence, bench-marking, and SWOT analysis.
New opportunities and vendors surveillance.

Reporting to Purchasing & Supply Chain Director, Main responsibilities included:
Planning, Organizing, Leading, and Controlling import logistics for annual procurement of 600 container worth of cement plant equipment, spare parts and raw materials from door to door.
Purchase of 200, 000 MT annually of solid fuels (Steam Coal & Pet coke) required for plant operations.
Managing multi-modal transport operations involving Capesize and Panamax vessels, 3000 truck trips per operation spanning over 3 countries and up to 2 months per operation / project.
Studying and selecting the most suitable and cost effective ports in the region (Turkey, Lebanon, Syria) in terms of safety, capacity, equipment, and location for receiving and discharging vessels of purchased solid fuels.
Personal attendance and supervision of the whole operation from vessels arrival, discharge, fuels storage in the port, reloading on trucks, till safe arrival in the plant.
Contracting with the best qualified logistics service providers (Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, Customs Brokers, Insurance Companies), through 2PL, 3PL, and 4PL.
Initiating, Negotiating, Concluding, and overseeing contracts and commercial agreements with all service providers.
Training, educating, and overseeing that all contractors, vendors, and service providers carry out requested jobs in full compliance with Lafarge health and safety advisories and standards.

Reporting to Purchasing & Supply Chain Director, my main responsibilities included:
Planning, Organizing, Leading, and Controlling import logistics for annual procurement of 600 container worth of cement plant equipment, spare parts and raw materials from door to door.

Reporting to Commercial Director, my main responsibilities included:
Execution of the daily delivery plan (6, 000 tons a day- 170 Trucks) of finished goods (Bulk & Bagged Cement) from Lafarge plant to all customers around Syria.
Inspecting all customers drivers and trucks, arriving in the plant, for compliance with H&S standards.
Troubleshooting daily operation problems with transporters, packing plant, and production department.
Implemented Lafarge safety policy on all customers and subordinates.
Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the management.

Reporting to the VP, my main responsibilities included:
Inbound Logistics Management: Planned, Organized, Led, and controlled the Transport, Insurance, Customs Clearance of 360 Containers (sea freight), 750 AWB (air freight), 100 Trucks (land), per year, of all kinds of Duty Free Shop high value, sensitive, and fragile goods (Chocolate, Electronics, Jewelry & Watches, Perfumes, Tobacco),
from suppliers around the world, into the company distribution centers and warehouses.
Outbound Logistics Management: Planned, Organized, Led, and controlled the Transport, Insurance, Customs Clearance of Daily goods transfer from company distribution centers to the company’s seven duty free shops around the country with an average of 1000 Truck load of assorted and consolidated goods, per year.
2PL & 3PL Logistics Management: Qualified, identified, selected, and negotiated Contracts with the best 2PL & 3PL vendors and service providers.
Vendors Performance Evaluation & Relationship Management: Periodically evaluated vendors and service providers’ performance versus set KPIs and signed contracts.
Distribution Operations Management: Insurance Claims, Customs Compliance Issues, Damaged Goods, Pilferage, Demurrage, and Short Received goods.

Reporting to the Managing Director, my main responsibilities included:

• Purchased goods locally and internationally on behalf of the company for its seven duty free outlets covering 6 departments: (Confectionery, Electronics, Toys, Pens & Lighters, Travel, and Souvenirs) with annual budget exceeding $ 20 Million.
• Negotiated prices, payment, and delivery terms with over 40 suppliers; including but not limited to: Sony, Panasonic, Braun, Nestle, Mars, Kraft, Lego, Nikko, Mont Blanc, St. DuPont, and Waterman.
• Acted as a product / category manager, responsible for products portfolio analysis, selection of new products / collections, and setting price points with the following responsibilities:
1. Selection of products collection / range taking into consideration the several competing brands with similar products.
2. Setting the Quantities required per item, per shop taking into consideration the overall product mix.
3. Monitor products life cycle and seasonality.
4. Monitored and analyzed products performance, and classified them into; fast moving, slow moving, or non moving products.
• Prepared and executed over 300 purchase orders annually.
• Prepared monthly and annual “sales and stock on hand” reports and presented them to the upper management.
• Arranged and supervised sales staff trainings on new collections and products in coordination with suppliers.

Reporting to the Senior Buyer, my main responsibilities included:

• Prepared purchasing inquiries.
• Paid regular field visits to competitors shops and collected data about prices, new sales strategies (display, promotions, ...), changes and improvements.
• Prepared stock on hand and sales studies.
• Followed up inquiries and purchase orders with suppliers.
• Arranged for the freight, insurance, and customs clearance of goods with concerned parties.
• Reported to the senior buyer about department stock levels and reordering process.
