Project Overview:

Kuwait port custom’s clearance is handling through JTC.
Due to geographical problems and security issues in few Middle East countries vessels coming to Kuwait port, JTC will do vessel discharge and upload to destination countries. Cargos which are discharged in Kuwait port after customs clearance will be sending to destination countries either by land/air/sea. Kuwait port is acting like Transit.

JTC CBW is currently dealing with four types of discharges.
• Transit.
• CARS.
• General Cargo.
• LCL(Less container load)
JTC CBW is currently using Oracle D2K software (Oracle Froms10g/Reports10g with windows server2003) which has limited process. As soon as vessels starts arriving from destination countries to Kuwait, JTC CBW system will loaded the cargo declaration data and once confirms the vessel arrived into Kuwait port, system will be updated with receive date along with actual received cargo.
Different types of discharges have different charges. Along with this there is variety of charges are there for discharge and release, such as handling charges, demurrage, and cargo in and out charges, Gate pass charges, Custom stop and held charges etc.

Discharges and releases are happening through JTC CBW system, charges calculating manually and customer invoices and receipts are creating through Oracle ebiz (R12.13).

Roles and Responsibilities:

• JTC using Oracle (R12.1.3) system and containing many business units, operating units and inventory organizations.JTC CBW itself contains big warehouses and we moved entire CBW system into Oracle(R12.13).
• Old system exists many oracle forms and reports.
• Based on user flexibility we made few Oracle reports as BI Publisher and remaining oracle reports into XML Publisher layouts.
• Oracle forms replaced with OAF pages.
• Customized all oracle Database objects like tables, views, triggers, packages, procedure and functions due to architectural change in R12.1.3.
• Old system accepting excel upload into oracle forms in new system we placed with Oracle WEBADI’s for user flexibility.

• Developed PO Inbound interface for Standard PO.
• Developed OAF pages for PORT’s business for Kuwait Container Terminal.
• Customized oracle custom reports which show summary and detail output especially for preprinted stationery.
• Developed new Oracle WEBADI’s.
• Handling all technical and functional issues in PORTS, Equipment lease and CBW system.

Description :
In 1934 the Kuwait Oil Company Ltd. was established by the Anglo-Persian Oil Wellhead maintenance on BG-191, 1961.jpgCompany, now known as the British Petroleum Company and Gulf Oil Corporation, and now known as Chevron Corporation.

Responsibilities:

Custom

The Company activities had extended to include exploration operations, on-shore and off-shore surveys, drilling of test wells, and developing of producing fields in addition to crude and natural gas exploration.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Worked on HRMS, IREC and financials modules.
• Created new OAF Pages as per client requirement.
• Upgrade reports 6i to 10g.
• Upgrade 6i forms to 10g.
Project Abstract:
• Along with seeded functionalities in HRMS and financials, the client built a lot of customizations which would fulfill the business process.
• The client used EBS for around 10 years and due to the limitations of EBS back in time, built several custom objects and customizations which were now deprecated/not supported in R12.
• With a count of around four thousand customizations and custom objects, needed to be moved or rebuilt to be supported in R12. Responsibility - Rebuilding all customizations which were no longer supported in R12.
• Involved in understanding and designing the plan to upgrade all custom objects or build new custom objects.
• Since MOD-PLSQL is no longer supported in R12, all custom objects built in MOD-PLSQL needed to be redeveloped in OAF. Responsible for requirements gathering and develop the custom objects using Oracle application framework.
• Several custom reports were built using OASIS run time packages. These self-service reports are now no longer supported in R12
Responsibilities:
• To design a solution to allow the user to view these reports as a self-service page.
• Convert all OASIS built reports to BI publisher reports.
• Build OAF pages to which would call XML publisher Data definition and Data
template to view as a PDF output.
• Upgrade all 6i forms and reports from EBS 11i to 10g forms in R12. Responsibility - Modify and fix forms which fail due to architecture change
• Build automated scripts to deploy all fixes and customizations to CRP2 - UAT - Production instances.

New system provided the flexibility for general ledger reconciliations.
Roles and Responsibilities:

• Client is using old business system and having much limitation .Old system is not user friendly and not possible to operate for wide range business.
• Maintained inventory stock based on IN/OUT transactions.
• Migrated oracle Forms 6i/10g into Oracle Application Framework Pages.
• Migrated oracle Reports 6i/10g into BI Reports using Oracle XML .These reports will run through Oracle Application Framework Pages.
• Prepared shell script for custom objects migration from UAT instance.
• Used FNDLOAD utility to download and upload all oracle custom objects.
• Created new responsibility, Menu and Function for new business within existing Oracle eBiz.
• Worked on different types of preprinted stationary reports.
• To do Bulk upload into OAF Pages provided WEBADI sheets.
• Developed WEBADI Sheets for Bulk uploads. WEBADI uploads are user friendly.
• Created new oracle Database objects like tables, views, triggers, packages, procedure and functions due to architectural change in R12.1.3.
