QSTec Polysilicon Project, Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar
QSTec’s Polysilicon Project is a $1.12 Billion EPC Project. The contract to deliver technology and equipment had been awarded to leading German solar company Centrotherm.
Once completed the plant will manufacture 8, 000 MTPY of high-purity solar-grade Polysilicon. It is scheduled to commence operations in 2H 2014 for Train-1 and 2H 2015 for Train-2.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Preparation of Detailed Lev-4 Schedule Tracking and control of Deliverables as per Target Plan.
 Generate Daily, Weekly & Monthly Progress Reports; S-curves discipline wise, Rolling 3 Months and 4 Weeks Look-Ahead Plans for Project Management & Client in close co-ordination with discipline In-charges & Construction Managers.
 Allocation of the Resources to various phases of the Project for Progress Monitoring in Primavera P6 on the basis of contractual weightage agreed in the Contract.
 Understanding project work scope, needs and deliverables, contract milestones, Estimating budget quantities, costs, durations and resources.
 Aligning Project work scope with company structured WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).
Preparation & Tracking of the project master schedule and summary level curves and Man power histogram
 Preparation of Engineering Quantity Release, Procurement & Construction key quantity Curve
Analyze Progress and Efficiency Reports, compare with the targets, and indicate areas where improvements are required.
 Identification, monitoring & streamlining of critical paths running through the Project Master Schedule
 Preparation of invoice for both unit price and lump sum portion of works
 Interface with the Client regarding Claims, Transmittal documents, Drawings, PDCS(Project Document Control System)
 Identifying the un-spelled items in the original BOQ and preparation of the extra work claims.
 Working in close coordination with the execution team to identify and raise technical queries to remove any bottlenecks that may hampers the overall progress.
 Generation of Project Budget by taking into account the direct cost and Indirect cost incurred in the project.
 Participation in weekly client review meetings.

Once completed, the Sadara complex will be one of the world’s largest integrated petrochemical facilities and largest ever built in a single phase. Sadara and the adjoining PlasChem Park will establish a world-scale manufacturing footprint that delivers a full range of value-added, performance products destined for the emerging markets of Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.
