I work in the Head Office of the company, closely with the GM as a cost control Engineer and I am unique in the company to this kind of work. Some of the responsibilities that I undertake are listed below:
- Setting out the budget for all tasks by code and type of work
- Monitoring expenses vs their respective Budget
- Monitoring Concrete labor productivity and Concrete Waste
- Issuing Cost Control Reports for multiple sites.
- Forecasting expenses for every item and sub-item and identifying their status in relation to the budget
- Issuing Executive Summaries to top management.
-Upgrading the cost control system and templates
- Feedback information to Estimation in order to more accurately estimate future projects
- Analyzing all payments submitted to the client and following up their statuses with the Engineer and Owner
My GPA at university was 80. I completed a 3 month internship in Nigeria with a Marine Engineering company. I was the project engineer in charge of the upgrading and rehabilitation of a 120 - Man houseboat.
