Responsible process/design engineer during the developments of three major Saudi Aramco mega gas plants projects; Hawiyah NGL Recovery Plant (HNRP), Hawiyah Gas Plant Expansion, and Khursaniyah Gas Plant. Responsible for building initial plant simulation, process selection, and sizing major equipments (fractionation columns, absorbers, regenerators Columns, Drums, Pumps, Compressors, heat exchangers (shell and tube & Air-cooled) 2/3 phase separators, filtration system)


• Amine Treatment Design & Trouble Shooting
The department primary contact in the amine system design and trouble-shooting. Performed several amine unit simulations using AMSIM & TSWEET, design, and optimization. Trouble-shoot various Saudi Aramco Refineries and Gas Plants Amine Systems that include; Diglycolamine (DGA), Monoethanolamine (MEA), Diethanol Amine (DEA), and Methyldiehanolamine (MDEA).


• Gas Dehydration Design & Trouble Shooting
Performed several Gas dehydration designs, optimizations and
trouble-shooting. Dehydration system included; Solid desiccant adsorption system, Triethylene Glycol (TEG) absorption, and Ethylene Glycol (EG) absorption/hydrate inhibition.

• Development of young engineers
Responsible for the development and teaching of two-day Gas Dehydration and Gas Sweetening course that is being offered to company’s engineers. The course is offered annually.

Mar 98 - Oct 98: Contact Engineer for the Utility Plant. The area includes; water treatment using RO, Steam generation using conventional steam boilers, Nitrogen system, Plant Air/Instrument Air compression, Cooling water, Drinking water and condensate handling system

Nov 98 - Jun 99: Contact Operation Engineer for the Natural Gas Liquid Recovery (NGL) Plant: Plant includes Feed Gas Compression, Gas Dehydration using solid desiccants, Propane Refrigeration, De-Methanization (Fractionation), Sales Gas Compression, and NGL Storage facility.
