Supervising the construction of one of the Interchanges within the first package of projects to relieve traffic congestion in Baghdad Governorate. This Project consisting of Three bridges at different levels.
The cost of this Interchange is approximately 40 Million U.S.D.

Consultancy services for the construction supervision and related services for rehabilitation of expressway No. 1, section R7&R8 of the transport corridors project / Iraq.
- The Project Development Objective is to improve road transport connectivity and safety on selected road sections along Expressway No. 1.
The contract consists of two sections,
a) Section R7, Nasiria - Rumaila: is about 145 km in length.
b) Section R8, Rumaila - Basra & Safwan) consist of two parts, Rumaila - Safwan is 81+000 km, and Rumaila - Basra Junction is 32+900 km, Total length is 113+900 km.
- The typical cross section for this Expressway has 6-lanes divided with a wide median in addition to paved standing lanes at the edge of pavement in both directions. Flexible pavement is used for the Expressway. It consists of two asphalt layers, Asphaltic Base-course and Sub-base layers.
- The work comprises of rehabilitation of the existing road, and all parking areas, resettlement areas, airstrip, bridges and interchanges existing through the expressway, and include but not limited to:
Repair and improvement of traffic safety measures.
Repair of pavement distresses.
Replacement of bearings, expansion joints and handrail on bridges.
Construction of new check points.
Rehabilitation of resettlement areas.
- The cost of Section R7 is USD 95, 685, 500
- The cost of Section R8 is USD 85, 842, 500
All works were in accordance to (AASHTO) Specifications.
1- Prepare the design and follow up construction supervision of road Abuja - Boyaha - Abijokola. This road is connecting city Abuja (capital) to Bogara, with length (128) km and 4-Lane single carriage way (Tow in each direction) .The cost about (100m) USD.
2- Checking and preparing the design and supervising the construction through my work as a consultant on the Link road of Kut city in Iraq. This project consists of 20 km length of Highway with two separated direction with 6 traffic lanes (3 in each direction), also consist of four interchanges with bridges and one bridge over Tigris River. The cost about (90m) USD.
3- Preparing the Geometric Design of a Calabar - Maidugri Railway Project in Nigeria, with length of 1200 km.
All works were in accordance to (AASHTO) Specifications. The Road and Railway design using Auto Cad Civil 3D program.
Consultancy services for Construction Supervision for Deir Ezzor-L47 Highway Project in Syria.
The total length of this road is 102 Km, the width is 13.5m for the single part with length 91.5Km, and width 24.5m for the dowel part with length 10.5Km. This project included Trumpet Interchange with one Bridge, also included several Box and Pipe Culverts, in additional to Embankment works, and Aggregate courses, thickness 40cm and Asphalt courses, thickness 20cm (divided on three layers).
The cost is 3, 230, 000, 000 S.P (68m) USD.
All works were in accordance to (AASHTO) Specifications.
1-Responsible for the construction works ( reinforced concrete frameworks) for the building of machines (C.V.), with height of 43m, and the construction of machines foundations, for the benefit of Alsweidy factory for cables-Adra-Syria .
2-Responsible of the construction works for the Family Summer Club Restaurant - Damascus-Syria, including construction of asphaltic road, concrete structures, casting stamp concrete grounds, implementation of artificial lakes works, water filtration, stone revetment works, electrical wiring & sanitary piping and agricultural works.
3- Responsible for the construction works including asphaltic roads and storage yards, concrete structures, metallic frameworks, reinforced concrete grounds, electrical wiring & sanitary piping. for the benefit of Alsweidy factory for Transformers -Adra-Syria .
1-Responsible of structural works for control buildings and guarding house, and foundations of electrical transformers and towers and circuit breakers, concrete cable trenches, and water drainage, asphalt and concrete roads, for the following Electrical Power Transformer Substation:
• Substation (KVA 66-230/400 ), Latakia - Syria, within Turkish - Syria connection project (main Contractor Siemens-Germany).
• Substation (KVA 66-20), Zamalka - Damascus, (main Contractor Safanico - Iran).
• Substation (KVA 66-20), Kudsaya - Damascus, (main Contractor Safanico - Iran).
• Substation (KVA 66-20), Mazzeh - Damascus, (main Contractor Barzian - Iran).
2- Responsible of the construction of metallic framework for the new cement factory project, Hama - Syria . (main Contractor Musharket Company- Iran) .
Responsible for all the civil works including excavation for utilities, networks, junctions, back-filling and road reinstatement, for the Installation of water supply pipes network (Ain Fijeh), Damascus -Syria
Supervision services for construction of a road near Baghdad (12 km long with cost of $ 10 Million). The works including surveying and pavement construction.
My responsibilities including the follow up progress, program monitoring, Reports, Quality Control, Shop drawing and Materials submittals.
All works were in accordance to (AASHTO) Specifications.
Prepare the Design and follow up construction supervision of Roads and Intersections and Interchanges (multi levels) as follows:
- Primary Studies to the Alignment of the road.
- Surveying to the land within the alignments.
- Studies to the soil and ground water level.
- Horizontal & Vertical alignments according to the type of the road needed.
- Design the pavement layers to the road.
Some of the most important projects that I had designed in Iraq :
1- Road at city of Mosul, 4-lane (2 in each Direction) length 30 km . Cost (14M USD).
2- Road near Baghdad, 4 lane (2 in each Direction), length 23 Km . Cost (10M USD).
3- Two roads on Hilla south Baghdad, 2-lane, length 42 Km . Cost (12M USD).
4- Roads in Basrah , 2-lane, total length 45 Km., cost (30M USD).
5- Many Intersection & Interchanges with one and two grades .
All works were in accordance to (AASHTO) Specifications.
I was in charge of the Construction Supervision Services supported by CAWI Consult Company - Denmark .
for the parts outlined below, of the project Baghdad - Abu Ghraib Expressway . This project connect Baghdad city to Iraqi Expressway No. 1. The length is 23 km, with two separated directions, three traffic lanes and one emergency & hard shoulder lanes for each direction, Separated by a median island . This project included different type of grade-separated Interchanges, bridges, pavements, TROUGH works and infrastructure services. The Contractor was (SAMSUNG) Construction Company - South Korea, and consultant was CAWI consult-Denmark. The cost $ 150 Million.
My responsibilities including Checking the implementation of the items according to the specifications, Follow up progress, Reports, Quality Control, Invoices, Shop drawing and Materials submittals .
The work on this project was in the following Parts:
1. Supervisor on bridge / Viaduct (A 9-10) within the road. It consists of two separated bridges (3-lane with emergency & hard shoulder lanes in each direction). The type is Continuous post tension prestressed cast in situe Box Girder. It’s length is (800) m.
2. Supervising the construction of Trough within the road with the same cross section width; length (850) m, including concrete structures (walls, base, bridge piers, and pumping stations). Ground Anchors used for fixing trough base to the earth against the ground water uplift pressure. The Ground Anchors was executed by (BAUER) subcontractor for foundations construction / Germany .
3. Supervising the construction of over pass bridges within Expressway (Two bridges) including all parts, Precast Piles, Foundation, Piers, and the Super Structure. The type of this structure is post tension prestressed, cast - in Situe Box Girder.
