Responsibilities
Project/Program Management Support
• Provide program & project management support to delivery of the Strategic Reservoirs Projects, and other capital portfolio projects.
• Assist NWC carry out portfolio/projects using prioritization multi criteria analysis
• Assist in commercial management and cost control for many construction projects across the Riyadh City Business Unit

• Benchmark KSA’s tariffs for industrial trade wastewater discharge & treatment against int’l standards (Singapore, UK and Australia)
• Present to BOD (NWC), chaired by the Minister for Water and Electricity (MOWE), on industrial trade wastewater management
Asset Management Support
• Develop Asset Management Framework
• Provide technical support to the newly formed asset management team including support for operations problems at major sewage treatment plants
• Review detailed process designs for major wastewater treatment plant (Al Kharj STP project - construction cost approx. USD 300M)
• Conduct technical and stakeholder’s workshops facilitation.
• Develop Asset Management Business Unit Structure including roles and responsibilities
• Facilitate stakeholders management to incorporate their requirements in the technical Terms of Reference defining design, scope of work and a selection of specifications and standards to be adopted

I assumed dual responsibility as a Regional Water Business Manager and a Jordan’s Office
Country General Manager thus providing cost savings to the company. My key achievements in
both roles include
Started the water business within PB Middle East
Created clients relationships within the emerging Water sector in PB Middle East
Secured the win of projects and provided the technical directorship
Managed projects on budget and to client’s satisfaction
Raised the profile of PB Middle East by participating in various regional marketing forums

Achievements
As a Project Manager I delivered many projects on time, budget and clients satisfaction. Some
key projects are listed at the back of this CV. As a Client Relationship Manager for AGL, I
negotiated and secured the win of new projects, thus expanding the water business in PB
Australia. I managed to successfully deliver projects within extremely tight delivery times
requiring multi-disciplinary inputs such as the expansion of Rouse Hill WWTP bid designs. I also
managed to expand the services of PB Australia, Water Business to cover projects of operational
nature such as developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Gas Distribution systems
and the commissioning of the Ocean Outfall at Wollongong WWTP.
Mentoring and training graduate engineers to a very professional level was also one of my main
achievements.

2002-2005 Operation & Maintenance - Drainage Department
Ministry Municipal Affairs and Agriculture Qatar
Sewage Treatment Works Chief Operations and Process Engineer
Duties included responsibility for the O&M of 15 sewage treatment works including industrial
treatment plant in accordance with Drainage Department’s requirements to achieve full
compliance with the regulatory authorities and to achieve clients’ satisfaction in protecting
public health and environment. Duties also included the management of small to medium size
O&M and refurbishment projects, coordination with Design Services, coordination with
construction division within the Drainage Department, reviewing planning studies and design
work carried out by consultants, process optimisation, troubleshooting, and provision of
technical advice to senior management and reporting. My duties also involved the operation
and management of recycled water to main, critical customers at the required quality. Other
duties included policy development and review, capital and operation budget development. I
also contributed to the restructuring of the O&M Department for sourcing out certain O&M
functions to external contractors. I also participated in the preparation of the of the Asset
Management project brief.

Introduced proper temporary shutdown and cut-in procedures for contractors to work
on the main process streams
Involved with projects including upgrade design, supervise installation and commissioning of
sodium hypochlorite dosing system to treat odour emissions at the plant.
Managing the Batch House and The Cut off Floor. Responsible for the operation of the water
treatment unit at the Plant. Responsible for the Sand Washing and Handling Plant. A member of
the Production Improvement and Optimisation Team at the factory.

I worked with a team of AECOM professionals on a Strategic Project Management “Skill
Transfer” for the National Water Company (NWC), Riyadh City Business Unit (RCBU) to help
with the implementation of NWC’s Capital Delivery Project Management Manual. I acted as
a Commercial Manager for the RCBU AECOM’s team and a Focal Point for the NWC’s
Strategic Reservoirs.

Achievements
As the nominated Project Manager for the Sepon Western Water Management Project, Sepon
Laos, I contributed to the winning of the tender followed by the delivery on time and budget to
client’s satisfaction of two Industrial wastewater treatment plants at a gold and copper mine.
The project scope included, preliminary engineering work, concept designs and detailed
designs including risk assessment and value engineering. The main challenges on the project
were a short delivery timeframe, technology selection and a tight project budget.
