• Perform the review of Rotating Equipment detailed engineering works (deliverables both from the Contractor and the Vendors) in compliance with Project Scope of Work, Specifications and Procedures, discipline requirements and international codes.
• Experience in Erection & installation of Major Rotating Equipment like API Pumps, Compressors, Blowers, Steam & Gas Turbines, Mixer/Agitator, Fin-Fans, ISO pumps, Sundyne Pump and Chemical injection, dosing pump package etc.
• Pre Commissioning, Commissioning & start up of GE Frame 9 Gas Turbines (MS 9001E) and Nuovo Pignone Compressors.
• Oversee Rotating Equipment engineering during FEED phase and future EPC phase, in covering all aspects of design to ensure technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
• Ensure the availability of all resources required to perform assigned tasks and activities.
• Preparing monthly & weekly plans as per Project schedule by Primavera P6 system and which is included by gang allocation and resources required.
• Coordinate with Project execution department, engineering during projects’ FEED and EPIC stages to align operations and HSE requirements.
• Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and / or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.
• Attending daily mechanical meeting and submitting the daily progress report to Project Manager. and Interfaces with other disciplines and third parties.
• Support and enforce the HSEQ Project objectives and directives in compliance with the Project HSEQ management system.
• Supervise subordinate staff, assign work activities, monitor performance and review results..
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.
• Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to resolve technical issues, punch lists and warranty issues during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages until the projects are successfully commissioned and handed over.
• At Site, ensure that package equipment are commissioned and started up as per detailed engineering documentation and accordingly to Vendor recommendations.
• Fully involved in various pre-commissioning activities such as Lube oil flushing, Turbine, Compressor and Pump - mechanical runs and solo runs.test
• Experience in Various API Standards and Recommended practices like API 610, 611, 612, 614, 616, 617, 686 etc
• Reviewing, executing functional, and pre commissioning test procedures, Co-ordination, and supervision of Supervisor and Technicians.
• Responsible for the schedule of Mechanical Rotating activities and related milestones, provides data (rundown curves, charts, graphs) and recovery plans to address any schedule delays.
• Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with Company Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Company Project Management System (COMPANY PMS);
• Close communication with the planner and execution team for day to day planning activity to ensure the work load against available resources.
• To provide technical assistance, coordination, and liaison with other discipline engineers on all aspects of Engineering / technical matters and audits.
• Rotating equipment discipline interface coordination with third parties, as required, during the EPC phases.
• Manage communications internal and external to promote positive image of the projects.
• Effective implementation of quality systems, procedures, management of change and revision control
• Maintain time, work order and other shop records and submits reports to the manager.
• Preparation of Technical specifications, MDS, MR, TBE/TBA, PR, VDDR and other coordination activities necessary for Rotating Equipment / Packages.
• Ensure SIMOPS, Various Execution team during interfaces so that activities are properly planned for effective execution.
• Provide direct and/or in-direct support for troubleshooting of rotating equipment during installation, commissioning and start-up on site.
• Ensure timely delivery, review documents under my responsibility to enable the procurement, fabrication, and Construction / Installation the packages / Equipment to progress and to site commissioning and start up.
• Expertise in application, detailed engineering and sizing/selection of Pumps, compressors, Steam & Gas turbines and experience in chemical, refining, and/or synthesis gas industries.
• Act as a field engineer during construction and commissioning stage for the project in accordance with instruction by Department Manager.
• Coordinate and analyze discipline issues for resolution. Provide Rotating equipment Engineering input to other engineering disciplines, construction, procurement etc. as necessary. Support commissioning, start-up and system completing activities and make appropriate recommendations to management on Rotating equipment matters.
• Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Startup of Rotating Equipment like compressor (PD & Dynamic Compressor), Goulds Pumps, Dosing pumps, Sundyne Pumps, Gearbox, Extruder, Rotary feeder, Lobe compressor, Blower, Fin fan, ID & FD etc.
• Identify any deviation from the Project Basis of Requirements and reporting these to the Lead Engineer.
• To identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and / or quality and recommend corrective actions as required
• Experience of preparing Technical Requisitions, technical evaluation and Supplier document reviews.
• Ensure that an effective and efficient quality/HSE management system is established, implemented and maintained.
• Support supervisor and ensure that all applicable environmental, process and safety technical policies, standards are fully integrated and implemented. Provide necessary support during any incident analysis, failure investigations etc.
