- Utilize the load forecast and JROS (Unit commitment) tool of the Spectrum to generate optimum daily despatch plan to achieve to most optimum generation scenario to meet the forecasted load demand, required spinning reserve and meet the system security.
- Prepare backcast case and analyze the deviation from the daily plan to generate the required optimum plan for next day and calculate the extra operation cost caused by that deviation.
- Keeping record of daily plan, actual and the deviation analysis of the daily despatch for future analysis and for achieving.
- Develop power plant communication protocol for declaration and collecting data, and develop procedure to produce optimal daily/weekly despatch plan using unit’s commitment model and updating those procedure for better system operation and compliance with the related code.
- Prepare weekly/yearly power generation planning, estimation of fuel requirement, the best fuel allocation to meet the forecasted demand, required spinning reserve and the system security and comply with the related code.
- Conduct power-trading activity when required using the available tool (UC).
- Communicate with the Control Room Operators to implement the generation plan and maintain the system frequency and voltages within the prescribed limits for safe and stable operation and most efficient operation of the system.
- Coordinate and communicate with the tool supplier for EMS, AGC for update and improvements the performance to comply with the best system operation and engineering practice.
