Prepare cost estimates for oil well and gas well tie-ins pertaining to the downstream unit.
Review, validate & endorse the estimates of in-house estimating department for on-shore maintain potential
program.
Initiating & obtaining expression of interest and prequalification from contractors for upcoming tenders.
Developing end user contract requests into Requests for Tenders & obtaining Management approval of bidder list.
Acting as a focal point between end user and bidders during the tendering process, controlling the tendering process from bid issue, handling bid clarifications, through to the bid submittal and technical evaluation phase.
Performing commercial evaluation, including determining negotiation strategy as applicable, preparing award recommendation for management approval.
Preparing contract award and related contract document for signature.
Assisting end user with kick-off meeting with successful bidder.
Estimation of overall project cost including discipline wise breakdowns.
Managing and nurturing other support Estimation Engineers and other interns / fresh graduates to learn the process of estimation.
Study the scope of work & tender document and prepare the tender review sheet then prepare/review the basic design, create the estimation BOQ and link it with client BOQ.
Arranging for and attending site visits, prepare detailed visit report and attending clarification meetings with client.
Prepare & send RFQ to vendors & subcontractors, follow-up, prepare technical evaluation sheet, send & acquire responses and compliance sheets to prepare quotation comparison sheet.
Advise the best quotation on the basis of the technical proposals submitted, compliance to scope of work and delivery period of long lead items.
Study the tender drawings / clarification responses from client and reflect the same to suppliers / vendors / subcontractors to get the offers as per final & revised information from client complying to the specification.
Review client's responses, terms & conditions and suppliers/ subcontractors offers then prepare the qualifications / exceptions/ deviations and other issues which could affect the prices or project duration.
Prepare the tender cost estimation, such as man-hour estimates, materials, construction equipment, etc. considering
the location and duration of the project.
Calculate the direct cost for each item by analyzing the item to its basics (Material, Equipment & Manpower) all conforming with the project specifications & ensure pricing inputs are supported by adequate Basis of Estimate and Bill of Quantities.
Calculate / assist in the calculation of Indirect costs (Engineering, supervision, management, site & camp facilities, transportation, clearance, taxes, insurances, permits, license, etc.).
Maintain Management approvals for all the bids before bidding.
Review of Tender documents on receipt to ensure its completeness.
* Organize / take part in bid initiation & review meeting.
* Ensure that clarifications are raised well in time to get better clarity on bid submission.
* Co-ordinate & follow-up to ensuring post bid clarifications are addressed.
* All in-house co-ordination for preparation of bid including follow-up, collection of input from
various sub-contractors.
* Clear understanding of work scope & best estimation with respect to execution of project.
* Responsible to verify detailed MTOs (Material Take-Off) from tender documentation.
* Ensure completeness of Subcontract Enquiry Packages and availability of Subcontract offers well in
time and tabulated accurately on a Bid Evaluation spreadsheet.

technical qualifications and costing for sub-contracting jobs.
* Maintain Management approvals for all the bids before bidding.

Study the requirements of the Request for Proposal / Invitation to Tender / Pre-qualification
Tenders / Expression of Interest (EoI).
* Prepare clarification requests to the Client as required for RFPs/ITTs/PQs/EoIs.
* Arrange and perform visit to Client’s site for better understanding of the scope of work if
necessary.
* Prepare comprehensive RFPs for Sub-Contractors in coordination with technical team.
* Compile our queries along with the queries of the sub-contractors and send it to Client for
clarification.
* Follow up to receive the clarification for the queries from the Client and provide the required
clarification to the sub-contractors.
* Prepare a fully compliant technical & commercial Tender / Proposal ensuring adherence to
company policy and submit to the management for review and sign off.
* Explore and find a suitable Principal for the design, supply, testing & commissioning of the
specialized products required for the project.
* Direct communication and coordination with the Principals for their necessary support required
till the successful handing over of the project to the Clients.
* Ensure to meet the deadlines of all the tenders / proposals.
* Review the proposals of Sub-Contractors and advise the management on their technical /
commercial suitability.

* Coordination with Technical, Quality & Finance departments to gain the inputs required for
preparation of highly competitive bid.

technical qualifications and costing for sub-contracting jobs.

Estimation of HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing & Drainage Systems for construction projects.
Liaison and attend engineering meetings with Project Management Consultant/Client.
Close monitoring & reporting of progress of the project execution to higher authorities with reference to the final bill of quantities.
Interaction with other discipline engineers to ensure that the progress of the project follows the planned project schedule by preparing weekly progress reports.
Execution of HVAC Duct Installations & Pipe Re-routing as per site conditions based on the
approved drawings issued for construction.
