Manages the purchase of all goods and services of non-production items.
▪ Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors.
▪ Determines the optimum source of supply from suppliers taking into account price, delivery, and general market condition and group standards.
▪ Establishes purchasing policies and ensure compliance.
▪ Actively study and resist cost increases and reduce major cost drivers.
▪ Seek the development of current supplies through continues monitoring of all aspects, the supply process and establishing meaningful measures of performance.
▪ Recommends method of purchasing based on a wide knowledge of the foreign and local market.
▪ Coaching and supervising the work of other members of staff.
▪ Developing, leading and executing purchasing strategies.
▪ Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
▪ Study sales records and inventory levels of current stock to develop strategic purchasing programs that facilitate employee access to supplies.
▪ Keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future.
