• Reviewing of consultant and contractor designs.
• Providing input into all aspects of the procurement process including preparation of briefs and bid
documentation, prequalification of consultants/contractors, and the bid/appointment process.
• Providing input into the development of the MEP schedule and reviewing contractor submissions.
• Managing technical coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and utility providers.
• Reviewing of pre-construction documentation provided by the contractor including shop drawings,
material/ equipment submittals and samples, quality plans, and method statements.
• Reviewing of construction progress including program and quality control/auditing.
• Reviewing all testing and commissioning activities and liaison with the independent commissioning
authority.
• Being responsible for the development of project MEP close-out strategy and review of
documentation such as record drawings and O&M manuals provided by the contractor.
• Supporting commercial team in the valuation of works, change control, or claims.
• Assisting in the production of project reports.
• Review Subcontractor/Designer invoices, and VO’s.
• Review the drawings, reports, specification submitted by the Design Consultants at each stage of the Design to ensure completeness, correctness, compliance with the scope of work and agreements
requirements and submitted to client representative/Consultant.
• Review the alternatives to the Design concept submitted by the Design Consultant and Contractors,
prepare and submit a report including recommendations to the MEP Director highlighting,
advantages, and disadvantages of each alternative.
• Review the materials proposed by the Design Consultant/Contractor(s) and propose an alternative to
improve the quality, Ensure maintenance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Leading and assisting engineers/draftsmen to review, prepare and develop the required design/Shop
drawings, schedules and calculations starting from the concept report to the detailed construction
drawings on self-performance scope.
• Responding to Contractors tender queries and RFIs.
• Reviewing the Contractors proposed technical materials submittal's, construction shop drawings,
Installation, Testing, commissioning method statements, as built drawings, operation, and
maintenance manuals.
• Working in Aconex Document Management, VBC System.
