• Reporting to the IT Director.
• Leading the project (Enterprise BI/DWH solution) E2E with the following responsibilities; March 2014 to date:
a- RFP evaluation for 5 vendors (IBM, SAP, Oracle, EMC, Microsoft)
b- Successful implementation and deliver IBM POC with 20 business scenarios: the POC was onsite and we went through real implementation including (data source integration, Streams reading, ETL development, BI reporting, Data mining, Campaign Management system, TDW (telecom data model), and NBA (Next best action).
We implemented different business scenarios that covering the above solutions based on IBM products.
• Analysis, design and development of BI/DWH integration project with new Ericson Charging and billing system BSCS (CBIO); January 2013 to December 2014:
a- Analysis: I completed the business analysis covering (CDRs, Financials, Customer Services, Prepaid account management) areas, which includes the generating of the Business requirements and generating the requirement mapping documents for the new system integration. In addition to the modelling and designing the DWH areas and provide all technical queries and procedures to start the deployment.
b- Leading and managing the BI team to develop and revamp the DWH ETLs, BI programs/reporting with full revamp for the DWH management system.
• Leading and managing the BI/DWH team to deliver the needed reporting and analysis requirements which include:
a- Monthly financial closing: generate related reports to calculate the monthly revenues.
b- Commission analysis: analysis and reporting the commission amounts and calculations for direct and indirect POS’s.
c- Customer Segmentation: customer behavior segmentation and profiling that needed for marketing campaigns and to manage the customer care to have effective responses.
d- Customer Profitability Management: solution to calculate customer/product profitability based on cost/revenue parameters to help the business with the design for new products/offers.
• Supporting the BI framework and tools with self-service BI reporting and analysis (interactive data exploration and analysis capabilities).
• Leading major upgrade for SAS BI framework including new HW architecture.
• Managing the DWH operations and data management loading scripts (ETLs) using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Reporting to the Enterprise Solutions services manager.
• Analyze of the business requirements and lead the development and tuning efforts for DWH ETLs; also, building reports using Oracle Discoverer to establish four business areas (Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Customer Care) with different reports that refreshed on Weekly/Monthly basis.
• As Project manager, leading the development of implementing the business requirements and modules to have the following SAS-BI services and tools:
a- SAS Enterprise Guide: business tool that used for the following purposes:
- SAS Data Marts (Summary Tables): detailed information about every single behavior managed in away our business parties can use it to analyze our subscribers’ behavior, trends and revenues on monthly basis.
- BI Tool: the business can build their own queries and analysis using huge data sources that we are providing. So, they can build a comprehensive analysis and reporting using interactive reporting tool.
b- SAS SPM (Strategic Performance Management) portal, Web Reports and Dashboards; represents daily refreshed KPIs system that used for:
- Monitor the company KPIs on daily basis and compare the daily trends with user friendly interface (dials).
- Compare budget Vs actual figures.
- Having notification threshold when there is alarming figures.
- Providing detailed view to capture new trends and evaluate product performance using interactive reporting tools (SAS Web Report Studio and BI Dashboards).
c- SAS Enterprise Minor Modules. Data mining tool used for predictive analysis and for data exploration; I have basic knowledge with the development of the module (Churn Model: to predict the potential churners).
• Reporting to the CRM team leader.
• Develop the needed reports on internal CRM system using Delphi Programming.
• Deliver the needed statistics for management team using Ad-Hoc queries and data management SQL scripts.
• Participate in developing ALSTOM-IMS (Information Management System) for the site (YANGTZ Three Georges Dam). The project is IMS and computer supervision system that responsible for processing the signals information (where the signals come from the sensors of the dam into the Database) and performing the needed calculations on signal values to generate the reports. The development environment was Visual Studio.Net (VB.Net Forms, ADO.Net, ASP.Net, XML, and threads).
