1. Update the tools used by the Production Unit in a way that ensures avoiding human errors
as much as possible, maintaining consistency and smoothening the workflow
2. Stay up‐to‐date with the latest technologies available and set plans on how to implement it
in the best way that serves the company’s needs
3. Develop new options and features in Hindawi’s website in order to have a competitive
advantage over other publishers
4. Coordinate with production support specialists in order to solve any problems with the
systems and tools used by the Production Unit
5. Receive all sorts of requests from the information systems coordinator to start working on
them along with the team members
6. Provide consultation to the Document Engineering team whenever needed
My Job Responsibilities:
1. Liaison between production department and information technology department.
2. Asses production department needs for new tools.
3. Assist in developing new strategic tools to support the production unit to better achieve their targets in
terms of quality and quantity.
4. Work closely with the production teams and information technology teams to improve existing tools and maximize opportunities to use information technology to improve the production process/cycle.
5. Analyze production unit processes and trends and advise on best practices and technology tools to enhance the production process.
6. Ensure all aspects of new developed tools meets the needs of the production end users.
7. Assess the impact of planned developments on exiting systems, identify risks and roadblocks.
8. Monitor software tools after initial release and troubleshoot development problems to figure solutions
and resolve them if possible.
9. Perform test cases for newly developed software for debugging.
