• Provide engineering support for smooth & safe operation to onshore operational facilities & offshore platforms.
• Perform engineering assessments to optimize operation & improve safety.

• Review and update of OIM’s (Operations Instructions Manuals).
• Develop JSA (Job Safety Analysis).
• Review of standards / documents for environmental & energy management systems implementation.
• Maintenance responsibilities: survey/inspection, failure investigation, vendor dealing, materials, logistics, SAP.
• Commissioning responsibilities at new/expanding facilities: Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR), Performance Hazard Analysis (PHA), visual checks, functionality checks, documentation review, teams coordination, etc.
• Gas and Water treatment project for Chevron - WAFRA Al-Khazan, Saudi Arabia:
Main Processes were: Gas Separation, AGRU, TEG Dehydration, SRU, TGTU, Flare, etc.
Work involved: Sizing process equipment, pipeline & PSV’s. Generating P&ID’s, PFD’s, BFD’s, datasheets and
process design basis, etc. Carrying out process optimization study and HYSYS Simulation. Creating Heat &
Material Balance. Maintaining Engineering Deliverables Records, etc.
• Invista Textiles, Gloucester: Calculations verifications RV systems, pumping systems.
• Eskene West Rail Project in Kazakhstan by AGIP KCO: Reviewing P&ID’s for Sulphur Treatment Facility.
• Leading role on the given assignments. Assisting/training graduate engineers/new starters.
• Communicating and dealing with technical queries from clients & vendors.
Responsibilities:
PROCESS:
• Heavy/light Oil Treatment; Stabilization, Desalting/Dehydration
• Crude Oil & Gas Separation (Feasibility, FEED)
• Gas Recovery System
• Oily Water/Produced Water Treatment
DESIGN:
• Sizing of Separators, Electrostatic Desalters / Dehydrators for Oil field and Refinery.
• Gas treatment by Amine Sweetening and Regeneration Processes.
• Gas treatment by Glycol Dehydration and Regeneration Processes.
• Gas treatment by Mole Sieve Dehydration Process (adsorption and regeneration).
• Calculations for Salt balance, wash water, recycle water, etc.
• PSV and Pipeline Sizing.
• Preliminary calculations for pumps, heat exchangers, storage/drain tanks, relief header KO drums.
• Development of PFD, P&ID, PDS, Equipment list, Line list, Hazop report.
• Hysys simulation and Heat & Material Balance calculations.
• As a proposal manager; generating the technical proposal and compiling the final bid.
• Dealing with technical queries and request for quotation (RFQ) from clients.
• Cost estimation of Process equipment and/or full proposed package wherever required.
• Utilization of professional soft wares like HYSYS, CITRIX & Design Calculation Sheets.
PROJECTS:
Dealt with a good number of projects and proposals, a few examples are:
• Ratawi Station Degassing Bank for South Oil Company Iraq - 100, 000 BOPD Crude Oil Flow: Multistage Separators, Dehydrator & Desalter (Tri Volt) along with additional process equipment.
• National Petroleum Construction Company Abu Dhabi - 3 Identical design Glycol Dehydration Units (300 MMSCFD gas capacity each unit) for the Integrated Gas Development Project.
• Yanbu Export Refinery - KBR (End user Saudi Aramco): Treatment of 400, 000 BOPD crude oil.
• Genova Refinery Italy - Sour Gas treating Amine Unit.
Job Responsibilities:
• Storage vessels and separators sizing and designing.
• Development of Process Flow Diagrams, Utility Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Relief system design.
• Preparation and review of Process Datasheets for Storage Tanks, Control Valves, Pressure Relief Valves.
• Maintenance of inter-departmental technical interfaces.
• Utilization of software for Process design like HYSYS and FLARENET.

• El-Wastani Refinery Project for Wasco, Egypt: Develop & review P&ID’s, generating MTO.
• Hycarbex American Energy for Haseeb Gas Field, Pakistan: Develop Plot Plan, PFD, P&ID, Datasheets of Diesel Fuel storage & pumping system, Instruments Air utility, water treatment plant, NACE Compliance equipment.
