Working very closely with the merchandisers,
Selecting new products and reviewing the old,
Finding the right suppliers,
Negotiating prices,
Ensuring the products are delivered on time,
Stock control,
Budgeting,
Reacting to any changes in customer demand,
Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones,
Attending trade events,
regularly reviewing performance indicators, such as sales and discount levels;
managing plans for stock levels and so on.

•Assisting the Purchasing Manager, in sourcing, evaluating, suitable range.
•Concluded supplier negotiations, marketing and launch program.
•Analyze the purchase request from the user departments and determine the appropriate method of procurement, Quotation, Tender and Request for Proposal.
•Prepare contract with vendor and maintain contract after award, ensuring that all documents are kept current and complete. Confer with suppliers regarding delivery, quality, etc. to ensure that the requirements are met.
•Arrange for samples, testing and evaluation of new products. Collaborate with staff on new standing agreements, ensuring staff awareness of product lines of new suppliers.
• Assist in the annual physical inventory process, as required.
•Capturing market activities and reporting to the Management.
•Consult, confer and meet with suppliers to obtain product information.
•To ensure effective control and maintenance of the stock-holding,
•Created a perception of the cheapest in town, by promoting the right KVI in each category.
