•Designed, maintained and implemented electrical instruments to extract data from field recorders, protection relays, and equipment monitoring devices to improve components performance by using computer-assisted engineering software (ETAP).
•Root cause Analysis for breakdown, trips and generators failure in Thermal Power Plant (ROLLS-ROYCE and Wärtsilä) and Distribution Network.
•Reviewed protection settings for Power Generation Units, 33/11 kV Transformers, OHTL and Distribution Substations and generate Relay Setting Documents.
•Handled Analysis for Production Impact Assessment before applying a complete Settings Upgrade for Protective Devices in Distribution Network substations using ETAP Software.
•Contributed with relevant sections in the analysis and status evaluation of power system components in Generation Plant, Power Distribution Network and Oil Pump Stations by using measurements and data extracted from Protection Relays.

Responsibilities:
•Prepared detailed reports and justifications for regular power outage and shutdown in power generation plant due to Lighting Strikes Flashback.
•Participated in the case study which was undertaken to ascertain the tower footing resistance of 33 kV line.
•Conducted earthing configuration review to utilize and reduce the footing resistance to lower values.
•Inspection and review for installed Surge Arresters at Power Plant Side to prevent back flash-overs from striking generation source under lightning conditions..
•Identification of material required, tools and equipment for earthing wires and insulators installation.
•Provided technical support during testing and commissioning earthing system.
•Results obtained are presented and discussed with O&M teams.
•Enhancements recommendations for long term stability and Power Generation security were provided.
