Position: Electrical Project Engineer (Electrical Design & Execution) on site.

Key Result Areas- Electrical Designing, Value Engineering & Validation:
• Mapping requirements through gap analysis; analysing workflow to design solutions spanning proof of concept, presentation, product design & development (proto builds) and physical testing
• Rendering support on complex issues related to design and execution.
• Steering value engineering activities entailing, analyzing designed building features, systems, equipment, and material selections for the purpose of achieving essential functions at the lowest life cycle while maintaining cost consistency with required performance, quality and reliability
• Spearheading and delivering high quality detailed engineering design for electrical systems, including calculations (Panel schedules, Feeder Data Schedules, Motor Control Centres in consideration with voltage drop), analysis, schematics drawings, single line diagrams, models, specifications and other documents required.
• Selecting equipment based on demand loads, working philosophies for Transformers, Generators, ATS, UPS, , Capacitor banks, MV & LV Switch Gears
• Interacting and closely coordinating with the suppliers/ vendor for specialist systems such as MV & LV switchgears, CBS, BMS, CCTV, SMATV, ACS & Structured Cabling, Elevators & Escalators, Building Maintenance Units to incorporate requirements for a complete functional system
• Defining specifications as per the drawing while meeting quality and cost standards; assisting & monitoring for shop drawings - lighting, small power, cable trays, technical / plant rooms including low current system
• Reviewing and finalizing manufacturing drawings as per approved shop drawings and issuing manufacturing clearances
• Preparing RFI's, technical comparative statement for variations and assisting QS team for progress payments
• Attend meetings technical discussion, seminar, workshops and FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) with consultant and convince the deliverables on technical abilities and seek approvals
• Working in close co-ordination with customers, understanding requirements and identifying / suggesting appropriate improvements
• Developing cost effective solutions for prototype development; ensuring prototypes & fixtures are developed on schedule & within budgets
• Partnering with quality in ensuring rigorous new product testing to meet customer specifications
• Communicating frequently with all project disciplines to ensure that both, the project team and senior management are aware of upcoming milestones and risks/issues
• Selecting correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones
Key Result Areas- Project Management/Project Engineering:
• Managing the entire estimation and scoping of MEP trades during pre-construction
• Reviewing resource reports such as manpower histograms, plant and machinery schedule; and ascertaining the adequacy of resources deployed for timely completion of the project
• Spearheading the complete project from quotation stage to finalization and payment collection stage
• Leading the entire project co-ordination functions including interaction with customers, sub-vendor & internal team regarding settlement of Techno-commercial issues
• Developing project baselines while monitoring and controlling projects with respect to cost, resource deployment, time overrun and quality compliance to ensure satisfactory execution of projects
• Anchoring on-site construction activities to ensure completion of project within the time & cost parameters and effective resource utilization to maximize the output
• Supervising the activities including requirement gathering, monitoring overall project operations for ensuring timely completion; implementing company quality procedures at site as per Statutory Compliance
• Focusing attentively and organizing induction trainings for major activities like equipment installations, cable puling (MV, LV & ELV), cable terminations, GRMS, BMS, life safety system FAS & CBS and ELV system (Structured Cabling, PAS, AV, CCTV, ACS & SMATV) & monitoring implementation of lessons learnt
• Attending technical workshops, progress meetings, assist QS for monthly progress bills & follow up with progress payment, variations and cash flow
• Preparing BOQ and cost estimation for the electrical system by evaluating the vendor's technical & commercial proposals
• Verifying & validating the equipment layout as per the AutoCAD design; installing the components as per the design in accordance with projects' environmental conditions & applications; resolving site queries to meet execution requirements; understanding technical & functional specifications
• Troubleshooting problems during various project phases (design / pre-commissioning / commissioning) involving modification of control and power circuit & related schematics for MV & LV switchgear
• Liaising with clients, consultants and contractors; identifying & ensuring availability of required resources for the project
• Preparing periodic reports for management including status of work progress, budgets, variance/ change claims, schedules, disputes, upcoming activities & safety records
• Guiding cross-functional teams to manage various project works; supervising matters pertaining to local statutory bodies, architects, and process technologists to troubleshoot customer issues
• Implementing QA/QC procedures; conducting various inspections; ensuring the structures are in compliance with pre defined structural as well as architectural specifications.
• Maintaining & reviewing general contract and subcontract/ suppliers documents and ensuring all contractual documents are dealt appropriately
• Implementing & ensuring Environment Health & Safety (EHS) compliance and promoting zero accident rate with proper permit to work & procedure formation
