Responsibilities:

Review and identifying market technical needs
•Review ITT’s and provide guidance and support to the applications engineering team
•Identification of technical gaps through GAR tracker process development
•Standardization and identifying opportunities for standardization (E.g. Standard pre-qualified valves for the structured DVCM)
•Engage with customers to understand their pain points and discuss potential GE solutions. This includes VOC, technical session C and fastworks projects.
•Analysis of technology trends and potential new markets. (e.g. HP/HT, All-electric etc.)
•Benchmark costs for standard products
•Review of manifold and connection systems, installation methods and developments.

Drive cost out initiatives and monitor product cost
•Review and implement value engineering and cost reduction projects e.g. de-featuring, product portfolio simplification, stocking alternatives and alternative manufacturing routes.
•Monitor and track cost data over time to identify trends and visualize the effect of cost-out and optimization.
•Develop cost configurators and cost catalogues together with commodity management and sourcing.
•Drive use of lean processes such as SDR/3P when applicable.

Product development (NPI, PLE, IR&D, Fastworks) through project definition, support and management
•Define NPI/PLE needs and opportunities.
•Define and prepare toll gate review documentation for NPI / PLE investments.
•Manage ongoing programs.
•Encourage new ideas and drive for innovation.
•Work with Sales and Marketing for product launch and development of customer information packages and product data sheets

Cycle time optimization
•Benchmark current manufacturing, fabrication and assembly processes, understand the entitlement.
•Review and implement best demonstrated practice.
•Identify opportunities for improvement.
•Set goals and objectives and establish plans to meet those goals

Benchmarking business competitors:

Roles & Responsibilities

• Liaise with Sourcing/Purchase to expedite sub-suppliers RFQs for fabrication scope, valves etc.
• Liaise with Planning to setup the project execution plan (PEP) in line with the Client key delivery milestone.
• Liaise with Costing/Commercial team for pricing up the bid.
• Release early engineering requisition for long lead items procurement
• Establish key internal interfaces with XT/PCS/Systems and external interfaces with SURF, Pipeline, Umbilical etc.
