• Provide timely advice to managers and staff regarding their systems of work, objectives and plans for the management of security and safety risk.
• Provide specialist support to in the GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation) and when required abroad from original conception, through production to post transmission including consequence management.
Intelligence and Information:
• Develop effective working relationships and contacts with colleagues, peers and external professionals. This includes Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), International Organizations (INGOs), other broadcasters and security staff operating in hostile environments.
• Manage and coordinate security operations ensuring that security procedures are implemented and followed as per the Country Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
• Coordinate all emergency/crisis management assets providing a timely and coherent response to incidents as they arise;
• Provide additional operational support and guidance to the regional security teams as required;
• Liaise with and report to the Country Chief of Security to ensure that all relevant security information is disseminated in a timely manner to the appropriate offices, their staff and other stakeholders as required;
• Develop a working relationship with personnel and a comprehensive working knowledge of our clients Security system;
• Work closely with the Chief of Security to develop an effective security plan to suppor.
- Ensure security of all premises and access control procedures.
- Ensure the routine patrols are conducted well on the premises ground.
- Maintain continual surveillance against fire, water leakage, intrusion or any act which could damage the compound.
- Ensure the doors, gates open and closed properly by the security guards.
- Advice the staff that all offices machines, air conditions and lights …etc are turned off after working hours.
- Investigate and report all incidents involving staff and assets.
- Working as a focal point to UNHAS/WFP flight in WFP sub-office in Kutum North Darfur state.
- Provide full translation to the office.
- Received the manifest of UNHAS flight through email and prepare the passengers in the helipad.
- Inform the passengers about the process and restrictions of flight.
- Identifying aviation safety hazards and helipad checked before helicopter landing.
- Supervises guards schedules and movements
- Checks performance of guards and provides guidance on security Guidelines
- To inform the security officer regularly about the security situation and keep giving reports
- Organizes and supervises shifts, duty rotation schedules and movements
- Be aware of the delegation objectives and activities
- Take the necessary measures and/or reports to the administration or to the Security Officer in case of incident
- Monitored and tracking HF& VHF radio check for security guards and WFP staff.
• Prepare and maintain public safety/security personnel files.
• Deputised from police force to work as security administrative assistant.
• Coordinate with security leader on all new hire actions.
• Answer telephones; provide information to routine inquiries or routes calls to appropriate person.
• Distribute incoming mail and internal correspondence to the appropriate personnel.
• Performed other duties, functions, special projects and responsibilities as assigned by the security leader.
