Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
Reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs.
Attending regular meetings (i.e. work progress, coordination, design, etc.) with sub-contractors and consultant and client to discuss key issues related to the project and take effective corrective actions.
Communicating with consultant, client and other construction professionals for resolving technical and construction problems.
Developing procurement strategies for subcontractors/ suppliers in terms of packaging and scope of works.
Tackle all correspondences related to the MEP discipline.
Job Responsibilities:
* Review layout of IFD “Issued for Design” and IFC “Issued for Construction” of engineering deliverables (i.e. shop drawings and builders work drawings for construction) including the final “As Built” layouts.
* Review project documents and other information submitted by contractor based on project specification and applicable codes& standards (i.e. ASHRAE, ARI, AMCA, SMACNA, DW, UPC, IPC, NFPA, UL, ASTM, ANSI, AAWA, BS, CIBSE & NEBB etc.)
* Checking project required technical submittals of materials and samples.
* Review mechanical utilities method statements and testing & commissioning procedures.
* Checking O&M (operation and maintenance) manuals for T&C and future maintenance & servicing.
* Participates in constructability reviews and alter designs as appropriate to maximize construction productivity.
* Supporting the field inspectors with any mechanical information affecting the progress of the construction works.
* Ensure the satisfactory installation, completion, testing and commissioning of the MEP Services as per the requirements of QA/QC, project specification and inspection plans.
* Attend RFI’s (Request for Information) raised by contractor and reply as per project requirements.
* Responsible for preparing reports including all concerned observations and recommendation.
* Coordinate with other engineering disciplines of the project and client representatives.
* Supervising project and identifies requirements, scope of works and resolves discrepancies from original proposal and scope of works for variations.
* Visiting material supplier’s manufacturing/fabrication facilities in order to ensure that, the proposed material meets the project requirements.
* Maintain files containing project calculations, correspondence and appropriate reference materials etc.
* Attend work progress meeting and other technical meetings with client, contractors and suppliers.
Job Responsibilities:
* Evaluates drawing layouts and other related technical documents provided by distributors/clients.
* Involved in system design work & running design flow calculation programs for fire hazard based on applicable international standards & codes requirements (i.e. NFPA, ISO 14520 & EN 12094).
* Preparation of material compliance statement & technical submittals based on project specification for the customers.
* Provide technical information and support to the architects, engineers, end users and other authorities.
* Involve in preparation of bill of materials/quotation based on company products price lists/ tool boxes.
* Coordination with Consultant, Contractors and Clients for technical issues.
* Provide design direction to the distributors/clients in accordance with product design manuals, listing agency approvals as well as national codes.
* Interfaces with Engineering and Marketing groups as necessary to obtain solutions for customer’s needs.
* Visiting working sites to ensure that, the work to be completed as per manufacturer recommendation and meet project requirements and international standards & codes.
* Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and seminars, reviewing professional publications, networking and participating in professional societies.
* Conducting training classes to the distributors for analysis of fire hazards, system design and application of appropriate products and use of flow calculation software programs.

* Preparation & attending IR’s (Inspection Request) of installed HVAC works.
* Attending technical and weekly progress meetings with consultants and client.
