Responsible for Design check & approval of Shop drawings as per ASHRAE,
SMACNA, UPC, ASTM, and BS & NFPA standards.
Reviewed the method statements for various Mechanical systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
Reviewed and approved the incoming materials.
Prepared weekly site observation reports to ensure that all activities are being carried out in accordance with project specifications, shop drawings, RFIs and EIs etc.
Prepared and issued monthly progress reports for various site activities.
Reviews and approves contractor’s bill for work done.
Ensuring contractor compliance with contract specifications and approved shop drawings.
Carrying out Material Delivery Inspections and to ensure that all the comments given in submittals are complied.
Reviewing the relevant As-Built drawings as submitted by Contractor and make sure that all site conditions are properly addressed.
Making sure that the CONTRACTOR’s personnel are using the latest edition of the approved shop drawings, MS, QCP and ITP as per the project master index.
Making sure that all materials used comply with the approved Material Approval Request (MAR).
• Read all Mechanical/Civil/Architectural drawings with Floor plans to carry out Installation work.
• Review method statements to ensure that the installation is as per contractor proposal and achieve the intended purpose.
• To prepare work distribution charts, Bills certification. Bills of material, Bill of Quantities and material requirement charts and handle work force of people on site.
• To ensure installation as per Roof, Riser and Floor drawings, chilled water, pipe drawings, Duct drawings with their sectional detail views for connections.
• To prepare the selection of machines like Chillers, AHU's, FCU’s, Pumps, Vaccum and Agss Plants on the basis of data catalogue provided from respective models like Blue Star, Voltas, York, Carrier & Meadas.
• Look into the fabrication of ducting / piping / insulations, installations of machines and fixing of grills / diffusers as per Drawings.
• Testing & commissioning and handing over of Mechanical works with quality in according to project specifications within the designated time frame.
• Co-ordinate with other trades like Civil, Architecture and Electrical departments, subordinates and settles the dispute on site peacefully.
• Attend appraisal and minute meetings with the project engineers / managers / consultant in case of delay / change in drawings / work / unavailability of material and suggest suitably.
• Responsible for planning of all major activities (Machines, Materials, Man
Power) as per schedule to successfully completing the project within the time.
• To ensure that all the works executed on site are complying in accordance to IPC, NFPA, SMACNA, ASHRAE & HTM 2022 Standards and Specifications.
• Ensure safe work environment, control the use of material and avoid damages and wastage, request material, tools and equipment needed for the project.
• Revising the budget of the project by checking all the shop drawings and claiming for V.O's if there is any additional requirement to the project by client or consultant.
• Preparation of Invoices after executing the work and taking approval from the client.
• Details study of HVAC, PLUMBING, FIRE FIGHTING and MEDICAL GAS layouts.
• Installation & Supervision of Ducting works and responsible to Resize the duct or make offsets as per the site requirement under SMACNA conditions only.
• Installation and Testing works for Chilled Water System as per ASME and SASO standards.
• Insulation works for Chilled Water pipes, Ducting and Hot water Pipes(Supply & Return as per the specifications.
• Installation & supervision of Domestic water supply system, Drainage system
& sanitary fittings as per UPC & NPC standards.
• Installation & supervision of Sprinkler system, Fire house real, FE-36, FM-200
as per civil defense approvals & As per NFPA.
• Installation and Testing of Medical Gas Pipes along with conncetion to FMWO and BHU etc.
• Installation of Medical Gases plants like Vaccum, AGSS, Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide etc and make connection of piping to the plants.
• Coordinating with other professionals like Civil, Architect & Electrical engineer.
• Architects & interior designers.
• Responsible for planning of all major activities (Machines, Materials, Man
power)as per schedule to successfully completing the project within the time.
• Ensuring that quality of material and installation of work is with approved
materials & method of installation approved for the project.
• To attend all project related meetings with clients/consultant/main contractors
& follow up actions on specified date without any delays.
• Installation, pre commissioning, commissioning and handling over mechanical works with quality in according to project specification within the designated time frame
• To study all Shop Drawings, Project Documents and any revisions thereon.
• To supervise the construction in terms of proper method, material reservation and optimum output of labour
• To give full and extensive instruction to his team
• Preparation and Submission of Daily Reports and Time sheets
• Analysing and Resolving field problems.
• Resolving issues at Site.
• Installation and execution of all Mechanical works at Site.
• Capable of reviewing shop drawings, analyzing and coordinating all materials, schedules, program of works etc.
• Preparation of shop and as-built drawings.
• Calculation of load estimate duct sizing, design review equipment selection, and installation supervision...
• Preparation and technical review of HVAC and other mechanical services material submittals to consultant.
• Involved in installation of Underground RTR Chilled Water pipeline and Black Steel Chilled Water pipe, Valves and all accessories.
• Co-ordinate with Structural, Architectural and Electrical site engineers for site progress.
• Ensure safe work environment, control the use of material and avoid damages and wastage, request material, tools and equipment needed for the project.
• Instruct site supervisors regarding further work plan as per site requirement.
• Preparing work progress and accomplishment report.
