Direct Operations supervisor managing a fleet of 36 barges (450\ton load each) and 9 pushers tug, daily administrative management of crews on board of moving vessels. Major customers include but not limited to: UN WFP North & South Sudan, UNMIS, UNMISS and different NGOs.
Detailed duties include the following:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the respective team by providing expertise and encouraging and ensuring teamwork in order to achieve high performance standards and ensure crew engagement in a motivated work environment.
- Work internally with the Commercial team member to ensure that all commercial activities scheduled according to contractual agreements.
- Daily check on vessels navigation and movement through HF radios & Thuraya Satellite phone.
- Use the navigator application, in which shows the current positions of ships via GPS satellite.
- Update Commercial team member to maintain the navigation movements and Traffic,
- Provide Departure and Arrival Schedule
- Execute assigned commercial orders
- Prepare plans for request of fuel within sufficient time Follow- up on receiving.
- Follow up and report on pusher’s fuel consumption status.
- Follow up and report on the vessel's status and report any mechanical problems to the technical team.
