• Administrate the network having more than 700 users, having more than 27 high-availability production servers in clustered environment and 2 remote locations ensuring uptime and load balancing. Investigate user and network problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
• Manages network operations to include: troubleshooting connectivity problems; installing & maintaining routers, firewalls and switches; adding/terminating users; assigning rights and access; resetting passwords; establishing e-mail addresses; assessing and reporting operational status; performing backups and restores; etc. Performs routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software.
• Install, configure, and maintain production servers, backup servers, file servers, RAS servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems.
• Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, applying cryptography to
network applications, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery
plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
• Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and
other operational difficulties.
• Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by
the network.
• Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine
hardware or software requirements related to such changes
