• Coordinate with the project, procurement, expediting, shipping and site construction team to ensure that all project material, vessels and Equipment is mobilized/demobilized as per the project schedule and in line with the ROS (Required on site) date.
• Assist the procurement department in the selection of the shipping contractors including RFQ preparation, bid evaluation and final selection.
• Follow up with the vendors for the selection of the optimum route for the transportation of materials, plant and machinery to the various project sites.
• Inform the shipping contractor for timely collection on of materials as per the collection schedule from the vendors.
• Plan and ensure the consolidation of cargo wherever possible without effecting the delivery plan.
• Coordinate with the various sub-contractors to check on the status of transportation of all project materials, plant and machinery and update the respective logistics plan. Directly coordinate with the shipping agencies if required to expedite the process and track shipping cost and ensure the same is within the budget.
• Co-ordinate with the vendors for the issue of final shipping documents according to the country customs requirements.
• Update the data regularly into Material Management System / shipping module.
- Liaises with Customs brokers and transporters
- Generated all documentation and information required for customer shipments.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logistics data for daily, weekly, and quarterly reports.
- Assess and resolve issues relating to import and export.
- Provide comprehensive logistical support daily for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Assists in ensuring efficient movement of goods in compliance with company policies, procedures and local laws, including in-country transportation.
- Coordinates imports and exports.
- Assists in maintaining logs and files, including all the relevant supporting documents, for all movements of materials.
- Communicates and coordinates with all parties involved in relation to materials movements.
