Managing grounds, plants, softscape, hardscape, operations and facilities management of two female campuses of Higher Colleges of Technology with 3000 national students

Handling refurbishment, renovations, facilities improvement and campus expansion projects from the concept design, project estimation, scope preparation, tendering, tender evaluation, contractor appointment, approvals and project management until take over.

16 direct and 100+ indirect reporting, managing 20 services maintenance contracts and 15 campus vendor contracts

Estimation of maintenance and operational budgets and controlling the budget throughout the year (25 million per year approx.) and additional budgets for the special projects (5 million on an average)

Technical Committee member for several projects and maintenance public tenders within the campuses of HCT

Managing Campus Operations and Maintenance Budgets
Manages the physical plant including building, landscape, equipment, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems.
Ensures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards.
Manages and controls water, heat, light and power and recommends current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations.
Develops specifications and requirements for service contracts and administers such contracts to support building needs.
Develops a long term plan for preventative maintenance, asset protection and overseeing execution of plan.
Oversees and directs the maintenance of grounds, public spaces, classrooms, labs, property vehicles and recreational facilities.
Builds positive relationships with external customers such as local municipality, Civil Defense and vendors.
Ensures Health Safety Environment for the Students, Faculties, Staffs and other Stakeholders of the College
Performs property inspection to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition.
Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.
Recommends or arranges for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
Selects and orders or purchasing new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.
Manages parts and equipment inventory.

Project Management
Identify the operation necessities of the campuses and recommends the projects to the management
Develops project plans in accordance with renovation or new construction needs of the campus or the departments
Develop project plan, scope of work, drawings, bill of quantity and tender package for the project
Evaluation of the tenders technically and commercially and recommends the Contractor amongst the successful bidders
Follow up of the Purchase Order and contract.
Arrange the kick-off meeting, approval of project completion plan, review of technical submittals, building permit and authority approvals, site handover, construction progress and follow ups until completion
Contact contractors for bids and supervising construction to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines.
Takeover of the project after de-snagging with complete as-built documents and warranties.

Maintaining Property Standards
Ensures building and equipment licenses and certifications are current.
Maintains property life safety systems (firefighting equipment, sprinkler systems and alarm systems).

Ensuring Exceptional Service
Reviews comments and feedback from students, staffs and other stakeholders to identify areas of improvement.
