Backet Group is a UAE based group of companies dealing in distribution of (FMCG) food stuff across UAE & Oman; The Company is also into the retail business with chain of supermarkets in Sharjah.
Leading the finance team comprised of 12 members my responsibilities are as follows:
• Preparations and analyzing complex financial reports and records, Preparation of monthly budgets and forecasts based on the analysis reports.
• Preparation of monthly financial and management reports and accompanying schedules, work sheets and notes.
• Performing variance analyses between budget and actual results and preparing account reconciliations.
• Development and monitoring of credit control policies & procedures, both in receivables and payables.
• Managing daily cash balances, Ensuring that cash flows are adequate to allow business units to operate effectively
• Liaison with banks in arrangements of finances for the company, short term and long term loans and project financing etc.
• Making recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures.
• Taking responsibility for, and supervising the work of, more junior members of staff.
• Assist with annual external audit. Assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual audit.
• Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
• Training and mentoring junior staff members.

Zadran Group a multinational group having offices in Afghanistan, India, UAE, South Africa and USA. Being Project Finance Manager Chief responsibilities are Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, Cash flow planning, Hedging, and Corporate Financial Reporting for both individual and consolidated financial statements.

Zadran group’s major businesses include construction, logistics, oil and general trading. The group has big construction project including roads residential and commercial buildings and owns more than 50 vehicles to transports goods worth millions.

Diversified experience in financial audits, information system audit and consultancy services to companies in different sectors including Oil & gas, Power, financial institutions, telecom, and entertainment sectors, and non-government organizations. Being a team leader, the responsibilities included dealing with the senior management at the client, delegating and reviewing work of subordinates and presenting completed jobs to Senior Managers and Partners for review. I have performed several other tasks including;

• Developing the audit strategy and audit plan in accordance with Deloitte audit methodology and as per the requirements of ISA’s

• Preparing tailored audit plans& Implementing the audit methodology,

• Direction, Supervision and Review of audit team.
• Preparation of accounts keeping in view reporting requirements of the entity. Preparing a formal audit report to express an opinion on the truth and fairness of the financial statements.
• Ensuring that financial statements are prepared in conformity with the identified local and international financial reporting frameworks.
• Assessing and advising clients on improving their internal control systems
• Conducted physical verification and reconciliation of stores and spares.
