Hardware related troubleshooting, IOS upgradation, card replacements on Cisco, Juniper, Huawei and Alcatel-Lucent devices and coordinating with respective TAC’s for RCA for an outage.
Monitoring Backbone network and devices of TATA Communications that includes National MPLS network, International MPLS network, Voice NGN network, Legacy network (Non MPLS), by using Cacti, NMS, Monolith, Nagios & U2000(Huawei) tools .
Alarm Monitoring and troubleshooting using mentioned tools (Link down, Link flap, Errors on link, Latency, Packet drops, traffic congestion, Temp, OSPF & BGP flap, Router & Switch alarms, Port Security)
Proactively verify traffic across various national/international links in order to manage congestion utilize the available bandwidth effectively with minimum latency. Removing traffic of link in case of congestion occurs.
Coordination with Field teams and last mile providers to resolve national and international network issues within less time to ensure best utilization of network.
Hands on experience on IP Equipment’s -7600, 7200 Series Cisco Routers and 6500, 4000, 3750, 3550, 2960 and 2950 series switches. Juniper MX960 & M120 series Routers & Juniper switches, Alcatel-Lucent routers and Huawei switches.
Primary hardware related troubleshooting on Cisco, Juniper, Huawei and Alcatel-Lucent devices and escalating cases to concern team for root cause analysis.
H/W & S/W Loopback testing knowledge when Link down, Packet drops, Latency, Errors on Circuit.
Opening and troubleshooting trouble tickets in Remedy for major Network issues such as Link outage, POP Outage, Service degradation, Service outage.
Primary troubleshooting of issues related to backbone network in IP NOC.
