• Directs and manages the day-to-day HR Department operation. Communicates all applicable human resources processes to managers
and hotel staff relating to, but not limited to contract compliance,
disciplinary procedures, recruitment, orientation, employee relations,
benefits, performance reviews, employment verification and other HR
related processes. Counsels and/or disciplines employees as needed
through clear, calm and direct oral and written communications in
accordance with corporate and hotel specific guidelines
• Directs the hotel’s employee relations programs including picnics,
holiday functions, employee communication sources, etc. and
coordinate and directs staff through detailed oral and written instruction
to facilitate successful completion of all related events/programs.
Designs and implements new programs as may be needed for special promotions, events or programs (e.g., safety, blood drives). Ensures
events are in keeping with the approved budget.
• Directs and manages the overall function of the HRIS system including but not limited to all data entry, hires, separations, report generating and
other related HR functions. Responds to and negotiates on behalf of
the hotel for all unemployment claims.
• Directs and manages compliance and developmental training. Invites,
tracks, facilitates and
• Follows-up on training programs.
• Ensures Affirmative Action Plan compliance by training management on the hotel’s goals and interview and selection methods.
• Supervises departmental and hotel staff regarding all issues relating to workers’ compensation to ensure minimum exposure by the hotel for
related expenses
• Maintains all hotel personnel records and Human Resources files to
ensure confidentiality where necessary.
• Assists in the administration of all employee benefit programs ensuring compliance with procedures and open enrolment is successful.
• Assists in the development of all team members by developing or using predetermined programs and/or instructs in the skills and techniques
required to perform their job in accordance with the standard
determined by the corporation and/or hotel.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned such as attending
meetings in the absence of the Human Resources Manager.

• Implementing of all human resources policies and practices in relation to the performance appraisal system, job evaluation, recruitment, training, promotion system and job succession in line with the company’s policies.
• Preparing management policies and procedures, monitoring their implementation on a permanent basis, and making sure that they are updated and transmitted clearly. And submitting the necessary proposals and recommendations to make any amendments or facilities to the policies and procedures of the human resources sector according to work requirements.
• Analyze all jobs and update job descriptions for all jobs and required competencies.
• Discussing and coordinating with all heads of sectors and departments the annual employment plan for permanent, project and seasonal employment and sets its cost and sends it to the senior management for discussion and approval
• Determining the job competencies for all the company’s jobs and defining them and determining their different levels according to the jobs and preparing an introductory guide to themز
• Preparing the necessary reports such as (company strength, turnover, new hiring, resignations, transfers, etc.) and preparing the necessary graphs.
• Ensure recruitment and selection process is adhered to and ensure that appropriate immigration checks are carried out •

• Assists in ensuring that the HR Department complies with all hotel policies and procedures, and local regulations
• Participates in the preparation of the Personnel Department budget and related budgets
• Screens and recommends applicants for employment in the hotel.
• Carries out the induction and orientation of all new employees in accordance with the Hotel guidelines.
• Administers the performance appraisal system for the employees.
• Follow up on trouble reports for employee housing.
• Arranges pest control monthly for staff complex.
• Ensures attendance records are submitted monthly.
• Ensures a department communication meeting is held monthly.
• Ensures staff restaurant menu is changed quarterly.
• Ensures a weekly rota is prepared and followed for staff restaurant and staff complex.
• Ensures a cleaning schedule is in place for staff restaurant.
• Administers the performance appraisal system for the employees
• Assists in the administration and implementation of training programmes for front line employees.
• Carries out monthly first aid box checking and ensures all are correctly maintained.
• Assists with disseminating information affecting employer- employee relations, employee activities and hotel personnel policies and programs.
• Maintains updated listing of all job openings in the hotel.
• Monitors present and future trends, practices and systems in the personnel field and make recommendations relating thereto.
• Implements and assists in monitoring employee relations programme and organises employee activities monthly.
• Establishes and maintains effective employee relations
• Carries out the fire, safety and evacuation procedures as required by the hotel fire policy.
• Carries out follow up interview within 6-8 weeks for all new employees.
• Carries out interview with all departing employees.
• Carries out any other reasonable request as assigned by the HR Manager .

Listen and respond to inquiries made by individuals calling or walking into the Human Resource office using a clear speaking voice to meet their needs Assists incoming employees, managers or candidates and provides accurate information.
• Answers questions, provides forms or directions. Refers all complex situations (complaints of harassment, etc) promptly to Human Resources Manager.

• Communicates challenges to Director, Human Resources. Processes Payroll for the location assigned. Communicates with Centralized payroll representatives, managers and employees in regards to payroll.
• Monitors and follows up on time records and meal and break period reporting.
• Provides administrative assistance such as filing paperwork, copy and distribute disciplinary action notices, breakdown, sort and deliver PAF's making new hire and termination files, copy and send exempt reviews to employee files/managers and department heads. Maintain department and personnel files. Creates and distributes memos, flyers and newsletters, as assigned.
• Assists in planning and execution of various HR programs and initiatives. Coordinate meetings, create materials and presentations, research key topics, and provide ongoing support and follow up in project timelines .
• Coordinate training initiatives in conjunction with departments, Director, Human Resources and any Trainers by coordinating sessions, creating communications, and tracking participation and feedback.
• Maintains employee and applicant TMs' notice boards.
