• Define policies and procedures that are based on risk assessments and ensure that information security is addressed through the life cycle of each organizational information system.
• Perform periodic assessments of risk including the magnitude of harm that could result from the unauthorized access, use disclosure, disruption, modification or destruction of information
• Subordinate plans for providing adequate information security for networks, facilities, information systems, or groups of information systems as appropriate.
• Develop, maintain, and improve user security awareness program and metrics.
• Periodic testing and evaluation of effectiveness of information security policies, procedures, practices, and security controls.

Plan, organize, and direct department activities. Align with IT

procedures for department operation.

Keep BOTH Hospital administration and Corporate IT
informed of department activities, needs and problems in Hospitals &
Centers.
Select, train/orient and assign department staff through
subordinate supervision.
Cope with standards of performance, monitor and supervise
staff, evaluate performance and initiate or make recommendations for
personnel actions such as merit increases, promotions and disciplinary
action.
Encourage professional development of department
personnel through in-service education and outside conferences.
Maintain the job descriptions, as needed, for all his/her staff members.
Resolve staff grievances.
Prepare and recommend department budget and ensure

Determine and document space, equipment, supply and
service requirements.
Evaluate equipment capabilities and recommend equipment,
hardware, and software acquisitions in Hospital and/or Center. Maintain

and regulatory purposes.

Hospital Administrators.
