Joined the project as a Mechanical Supervisor for the GAS project and coordinated with the subcontractors regarding the progress, engineering issues, material follow-up and site activities.
✔ Responsibilities included(but not limited to) arrangement of daily work permits, material coordination with subcontractors, training workers whenever required, construction follow-up, preparation of look ahead schedule for the subcontractor and conducting meetings with subcontractor and client regarding progress and prioritizing work front.
Responsible for overall construction and monitoring of the Fuel oil System for a 2750 MW Power plant being constructed in the Yanbu Power Plant Phase III project.
Construction follow-up, co-ordination with supervisors, optimizing progress, Organize meetings with Construction & Site Managers regarding the progress
In Site, revision of drawings as per site conditions, co-ordination with planning
Department and strict follow through of HSE code.
Assisted the QC dept. with inspection of piping & equipment, final documentation, and client walk through.
Assisted the testing department with the proper setup, manifold testing,
Calibration of pressure Gauges, preparation of pressure test diagrams,
Preparation of blind control sheet & witness pressure test.

Details Of Work As A Piping Engineer:
Inspect piping just before erection to verify that interior is clear of foreign materials.
Check edge preparation and fit-ups to verify that areas to be welded are free of contaminants and that fit-up within tolerance.
Conducting pre-test line check of erected line spools as per the test pack and preparing punch list.
Checking actual test limits for the installation of blinds and test pressure on the approved test packages.
Check flow direction arrows on valves; verify that the properly identified valves are installed in accordance with the flow diagram.
Ensure that pipe supports hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with the piping drawings and the pipe support details.
Check and assure that all joints are exposed for examination during pressure test. Check vents are open when filling and draining lines.

Blinding and Refitting of existing Pipe Lines
Inspecting the painting works done by the contractors on the fabricated pipe spools. Make sure the Pipe spools are properly covered with the end caps and safely transported to the site without any damages.
Monitoring and inspecting the erection works by the contractors including piping, welding and insulation and also co-ordination with contractors for the quality issues and issuing NCR’s when non-conformity activities were noted by the contractors.
Dimensional Checking on Piping and Structure Fabrication Fit Up Tolerance based on Designed Drawing & Isometric .
Preparation of the overall MTO as per the drawings and the B.O.M(bills of materials) received.
Preparation of the P.O's required to procure and submit to the procurement department for further processing.
Co-ordination with the vendor to estimate the expected time of delivery of materials.
Co-ordination with the planning department to prepare look ahead schedule which involved submission of reports such as material receiving , prefabrication, erection and painting.
Prefabrication included issuing the material to the fabrication shop and maintaining strict documentation in case of future reference.
Calculation of the total dia-inch of the project and keeping record of the daily dia-inch progress and submitting the information to the client.
Follow-up of dia-inch progress in the site.
Follow-up of painting progress in the paint shop.
Receiving drawings from the client and follow-up on the total drawings received.
Preparing the weld map for isometric drawings.
Revision of drawing as per site conditions.
Preparation and revision of test package for process piping.
Make P.O for new materials required due to revision of drawings.
Preparation of the list of excess quantity of materials to be returned to the client.
Attend meetings with the project management team regarding the completion of the project and plan of action.
