Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and technical backing to DRR, WASH & Emergency within Johanniter Pakistan strategic parameters.
Assist project teams in the development of DRR & Emergency response plans
Work for DRR integration into preparedness and response programming.
Provide technical support to the development program in integrating DRR, Emergency Preparedness, Response, WASH and disability mainstreaming in Johanniter response strategy.
Develop the overall framework of the monitoring and evaluation activities; clarify the responsibilities and prepare the work plan and the detailed budget for the monitoring and evaluation activities;
Supervise the work of the Monitoring and Evaluation office staff
Provide guidance and technical support and coordinate the review of program log frames including, providing technical advice for the revision of performance indicators and ensuring that realistic intermediate and end-of-program targets are defined
Identifying sources of data, collection methods and resources needed
Contribute to the development of the Field Implementation Plan (FIP)
Ensuring alignment with Field /HQ strategy, agreement on program indicators and inclusion of monitoring and evaluation activities in the work plan and establish contacts with other monitoring and evaluation stakeholders
Review and provide feedback to program on the quality of methodologies established to collect monitoring data, and document the protocols that are in place for the collection and aggregation of this data
Assist the project team to develop and use innovative approaches to monitor the performance of the DRR project/program in Pakistan.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the DRR & Emergency Response and preparedness project in Pakistan.
Represent Johanniter in DRR Forum, Partnership for Resilience (P4R) Alliance, DM Networks and other cluster, forum and group, contribute to technical interactions and discussions on the same at national level.
Assist program development unit for the development of quality integrated, DRR, WASH & Emergency Response and preparedness proposals targeting institutional funding at country level.
Provide inputs in program budgeting and ensure monitoring and accountability.
Program Development and Implementation
Provide a continuous assessment of the situation of beneficiary communities and advising on long-term appropriate Johanniter interventions in Pakistan.
Design and prepare proposals for long-term program interventions and seek/or identify sources of funding for new program.
Support Johanniter in conducting baseline survey, VCA, HVCA and other required research
Identify the needs and support to staff and partners to increase their competence in DRR, Disability inclusion and Emergency Response.
Participate in the recruitment, selection and induction of new integrated project staff.
Provide training to develop the capacity of Johanniter project staff in community mobilization, disability mainstreaming, DRR, Emergency Response.

National DRR Coordinator at International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC)
