General Functions: • Determine the standard quantity of material requirement to produce different designs and types of shoes and its components.
• Determine standard time allowed (using BATA policy, SPM) for different operations related with shoes and its components production.
• Pricing of quantity of material and time of labor force.
• Standard Cost for each of the sub-component and final article.
• Batch and process costing using standard cost system.
• Determine Work in process at the end of each month.
• Statement of monthly cost of goods manufactured for each department.
Managerial Functions:
• Product pricing recommendation based on target margin.
• Decision regarding make or buy a component of a shoe.
• Budget the yearly Factory overhead cost of different factories and allocate them to different types of shoes and sub-components in such a way that the production department can recover its cost from budgeted production.
• Preparation of Yearly production budget.
• Monitor budgetary control, Identify variances and causes in an analytical report form.
• Revision of standard cost when major material price increases (10% increase)
• Analysis the impact of reduction of Shoe price to the target margin.
Special Assignment: • Monitor company performance and help management to perform informed judgment relevant and timely business analysis.
• Suggestion for cost control to product development department
• Ensure Operation Expenses and Financial cost as per Annual Business plan.
• Profit planning, Ratio analysis and KPI Reporting.
• Variance analysis reporting, interpretation and ensure continual improvement.
• Assist in building better costing model using the MIS employees.
• Monthly physical inventory count and reconciliation, preparation of price declaration document as per VAT regulation.
• Preparation for Monthly Reporting Package (MIP) for group reporting purpose.
• Assist with local and group reporting.
• Dealings with external auditors and & VAT consultant.
• Assist with Annual budget and anticipated budget.
• Prepare VAT-1 for New Article and Price Increase of Article.
• Prepare Price declaration of Non-Vat article (upto Tk.120/Pr.)
• Prepare necessary calculation for DDB (Duty Draw Back) for export article.
• Assignment with Auction in all products of Bata.
• supervision to put all entry in New Vat and BEMS Software.
2) Bata Shoe Co. (Bangladesh) Ltd. Tongi, Gazipur. Sr. Internal Auditor (Finance & Administration Dept.) 1 August 2005 to 09 July, 2012.
• Monitoring the efficiency and effectiveness of operational control, safeguarding procedure of company's assets and detecting of fraud.
• Monitoring the integrity of the financial statements of the Company.
• Monitoring internal controls and compliance so that business is conducted in a proper and economically sound manner.
• Audit planning, reporting, follow-up over findings, monitoring the observations and reviewing the summery with management.
• Checking of records, documents, bills, vouchers and approvals related to accounts, procurement and concerned depts. as per BSO standard.
• Inventory Control: Controlling over incoming and outgoing materials, W-I-P, conducting yearly, half-yearly and sudden stocktaking.
• Crosschecking of the various internal controls equipments, their implementation and refer improvement procedures.
• Physical verification of stock and furniture & fixtures, checking of records on stock accounting, sales, remittance, expenses, fixed assets and documents of retail outlets of the company.
• Audit on the outstanding and their realization steps, marketing and promotional activities and checking of records and documents of wholesale depots.
• Audit on consumption, achievement and functions of various departments.
• Inspect disposal of fixed assets, leftover, scrap and wastages.
• Sign on allowed in and out goods and materials, plant and equipment, component and accessories.
• Help to keeping records on controlling item of the Company.
3) J & J Trade International. 583/C, Khilgaon Chowdhurypara, Dhaka 1219. Assist. Manager (Finance & Audit) April 2002 to June 2005.
• Finance Planning: Analyzing requirement, follow up of finance plan, ensuring material inflow according to process plan, co-ordination with production/consumers, production planning & marketing.
• Audit planning & report: Audited the respective order processing textile mill and checked and monitor them to maintain the order date.
• Responsible for Payroll: Preparing all payroll and salary activities in all level including adjustment of Tax., advances & P.F. ( worker & officer), maintenance and follow up provident fund, gratuity and pension fund activities.
• Formulating Payroll: Considering various structures in different level, revision of salary on the basis of job duration, performance and departmental recommendation.
• Scheduling: Justification of material schedules, intimation with commercial, liaisons with suppliers/exporters, recording of documents, certification of materials in-house status.
• Ensuring Supply: Monitoring of incoming schedules, contract with local/direct suppliers/manufacturers, negotiation with them and ensuring timely in-house, proper delivery to consumers/production.
• Inventory Control: Organizing materials flow, assuring all quality matters, systemic racking, ensuring safety stock considering lead-time, control of issue to production, reminder /warning to over-consumers.
• Team Management: Organize of job & process wise controller's team, monitoring individual performance, motivation to achieve the goals, control over sub stores activities.
• Store accounting: Monitor job & process wise record keeping of day-to-day transactions, updating all master data files, summarize job & sub store records.
• Stock Reporting: Disclosing department, job & process wise consumption status, stock movement report, job-closing report, periodical stock reports, physical inventory reports to concerned parties.
