1. Gulf International Bank: Bank is in the process of implementation of FLEXCUBE core banking solution. The bank has branches in five different geographical regions and has a large no of legacy system and many interfaces with third party system. So after the implementation of FLEXCUBE, the legacy systems and the interfaces with third party applications need to keep working as it is. To achieve this purpose this project was initiated. The main purpose of this project is to setup a enterprise wide staging area that get populated from different legacy systems and also from FLEXCUBE and then this staging area serve the purpose of reporting base line. Besides serving reporting platform, this staging area also serve the purpose to provide the data that is required for interfacing with third party applications like Murex, Unavista, SAMAH, Experian, Fermet, CRM, DCMS, AFS and LOS systems.

2. FLEXCUBE Upgrade: I was involved in the upgrade project of FLEXCUBE 10.2 to version 11.2 for Askari Bank Limited. My role in this project was of technical project manager to design and execute the strategy for the smooth transition of upgrade process from infra structure, upgrade process execution, channel transfer, cutover time, hardware allocation, identification and removal of bottle necks in this process.

3. AL-Bilad Islamic Bank, Lebanon & Iraq: It is the first Islamic Implementation of FLEXCUBE done by Techlogix. My responsibilities are :
o Planning the implementation tasks with clients
o Monitoring the project progress
o Reporting project status
o Planning the data conversion from legacy systems, conducting data conversion activities and proving the accuracy of the conversion
o Lead the team to customize the account opening area to cater the IBAN requirements as per Lebanon central bank format.
o Implementation of Alternate Delivery Channels
o Implementation of ACH, RTGS and SWIFT Network
o Identifying the reporting requirements and development of framework for reporting

4. NRSP Microfinance Bank Limited, Pakistan: During this project I was involved in the identification and requirement gathering phase for reporting requirement for internal reporting and with SBP reporting. For this bank I developed the strategy and framework to fulfill the reporting requirement of bank that is based upon the OBIEE.

Lead the team to Customized the main loan repayment area as per bank requirement to cater the local market requirements.

5. Askari Bank Limited, Pakistan: In the implementation of FLEXCUBE in Askari Bank, my responsibilities were:
o Chalked out Support strategy for post implementation.
o Performing Risk Assessment of different modules according to the Banks operation requirements.
o Presenting status to Bank’s Higher Management on progress of systems’ implementation.
o Developed the Migration and Integration strategy for the conversion of Branches from legacy system to FLEXCUBE.

Customization of Loan Origination System (AMBIT-SunGard) - United Bank Limited
United Bank Limited is in implementation phase of Symbols core banking system by Ambit SunGard. Loan Origination System (LOS) is one of the modules of the system.

I am involved as Technical Team Lead in customization of existing functionalities and development of gaps exists between LOS and customized requirements of bank.

The development of this area is based upon the java based toolkit (CSM) provided by SunGard. The development includes the integration with legacy systems, existing core banking system and Symbols core banking system through Biztalk middle ware.

Electronic Data Interchange Projects - United Bank Limited
The middle ware of UBL communicates with 1 Link Server and Core Banking System. In the following projects I worked as Team Lead. Technologies used in these projects include Linux, Oracle 10g, COBOL, Pro C and Java for database procedures.

1. IDP Project: This project was initiated to distribute financial aid to Internally Displaced Persons of Waziristan Operation. The target of this project was to provide financial aid to displaced persons without the need to go to bank. This project won the award in “GSMA Global Mobile Awards 2012” http://www.globalmobileawards.com/winners2012.php#cat_id13
2. Trade Finance Application: The Trade Finance Application implemented at CPU Pakistan creates and authorizes the transactions in the Trade Finance application which will upon authorization updates the status in table created on the Trade application, these transactions are inserted into ETB database and the ETB application push these transactions to the Phoenix for posting into Unibank.
3. Digital Pen & Paper (DPP): The aim of this software is to provide paper free account opening mechanism. This system gets the account opening information from digital pen and paper device from any branch of bank and sends the request of account opening in its respective branch.
4. Inward Clearing System (ICS): This module is used to process inward clearing of bank from one location. This module is based upon IBTS system (mentioned below).
5. Cheque Book Ordering System: This system is used to perform cheque book related operation in respective branches through one point in the bank (Central Processing Unit).
6. Interbank Transaction System (IBTS): This system is used to make financial transaction at Inter Bank Level.
7. Non Financial Push: The objective of the project is to route non financial information and Stop Payment Instructions for Lost / Stolen RTCs and TRCs to all branches. In this way the risk of payment of stopped RTC / TRC will be substantially minimized.
8. Utility Bill Payment System: This system is being to provide the facility of Utility Bill Payment through ATM Machines, Credit Cards and Call Centers.
9. VISA Debit Card System for UBL, UBL Ameen and Pre Paid Visa Debit Card software.
Core Banking Application Projects - United Bank Limited
Technologies used in these projects include Linux, Developer 10g, Developer 6i, Re;port Builder, Oracle 8i, Oracle 10g and Java for database procedures.
1. Transformation of existing desktop core banking application to web based application. The main of objective of this project is to provide a single centrally maintained server and to remove security issues of existing application. I am working in this project as Team Lead.
2. Wrote UNIX Scripts for Day End and Object deployment Processes.
3. Data Transfer Module: This module is being used to transfer data from spoke branches to Hub branch and then from Hub branch to Central Server. Due to this module now it is possible to generate balance sheet of whole bank at any time with accurate figure. My responsibilities included design and development of system.
