Part of the team of Electrical Engineers at Saudi Aramco Project as a contractor; assigned to ensure the steady power supply to numerous valve stations (MLV & EIV) for the six downstream pipelines. Led a team of electricians to maintain and manage generators, fire alarm system, lightning system and various electrical tasks of the resident camp. Installed and maintained solar generators with simplified Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) for the solar operated main line valve stations. Updated IFC drawings; mainly Field Design Change (FDC) or Redline as per site requirements using AutoCAD. Worked with other professionals to troubleshoot faulty GWR, PDIT and other electrical parts/equipment’s. Prepared four weeks look ahead hazard identification plan, BOQ, MTO, and reviewed bid documents. I have also lead multiple audits both internal and external (Saudi Aramco) through the course of my time with Br. C.A.T International and closed out the audit reports within the deadline. Coordinated with the Aramco issuers to provide work permits related to the day to day work activities at the project.
Handled the maintenance of power distribution networks in Islamabad division for efficient power supply. Designed and modified existing electrical networks in SynerGEE software to reduce voltage drop and increase efficiency prior to execution of the projects. Uploaded the required electrical materials requested by various sub-divisions on SAP ERP software for cost comparison before approval. Ensured protection of network substations, underground cables, and overhead lines as per IEEE standards. Conducted onsite inspections to make sure that the crew followed all electrical safety requirements during construction activities and issued notice/warning letters to promote safety culture within the company.
