Migration & Deployment Scenario:
 Migrating of User's Profile from old system to new system which includes cloud integration by adding
profile into O365 and in-tune
Migration by MECM (SCCM) in below major steps:
 Backup of existing User's system into ADNOC backup/file server.
 Erasing completely old systems
 Installation on ONEIMAGE (earlier every PC had different image) ONEIMAGE - has set of applications as
per departments and user's profile.
 Restoration of Profiles
 Backup - USMT / WIM backup, using MECM
 Erase old machines
 Get the system ready for smooth migration - by ensuring SCCM client installed - completing premigration
formalities.
 Installation of ONE-IMAGE - critical part of migration in which minor error leads to prolong migration
duration. - number of errors which incur during migration (as documented) deal accordingly. - most
common error happens such as no network error, which happens due to MECM unable to install
drivers properly. - Power-BI used to eradicate errors happen during migration.
 Restoration of Data/Profile - issues come across as profile missing, data skipped during restore data
from WIM backup
Post Migration Support:
 Using ServiceNow for services, incidents management, asset management, remote desktop provision
and network issues resolutions.
 Provide a good user experience - Contact user pre deployment, check they are ready to migrate (files
moved to OneDrive etc), setup new device side by side with the user. This may be desk side or remote,
based on relevant covid guidelines. Ensure user fully set up. Check back in with the user and collect old
desktop /laptops.
 Ensure conformance to relevant Service Level Agreements
 Responsible for on-site IT user support (Network, telecommunication, desktop hardware/software and
standard applications)
 Work closely with other staff in information technology department to provide quality IT support to
users
 Responsible for optimum operation and availability of the network.
 L2 & L3 incident resolution for assigned systems and applications.
 Troubleshooting, root cause analysis and documentation of IT issues reported after post migration.
 Support site engineers with all the desktop applications, workstations and related equipment problems
and resolve them in a timely manner.
 Investigate problems at 1st and 2nd level, provide findings, impact and preventative actions in a clear
and concise manner.
 Contribute to team meetings and play an active role in the development of the service delivered by the
systems owners.
