• Community Mobilization & Onboarding: Mobilised 300+ MSMEs in
and around Kikuyu, conducted initial skills training for all
participants, and successfully onboarded 159 businesses that met
program criteria. Coordinated 3 cohorts of at least 50 entrepreneurs
each for bootcamp-level training.
• Skills Training: Designed and delivered targeted training sessions—
including financial literacy, business planning, marketing strategies,
and customer management—for 300+ entrepreneurs. From this
group, 159 advanced to bootcamp trainings, and subsequently 37
qualified for the mentorship phase.
• Mentorship & Business Development: Out of the 37 mentees,
personally mentored 5 qualified businesses, providing strategic
guidance and hands-on mentorship to foster business growth,
sustainability, and innovation.
• Results Achieved: 40% (2 out of 5) of my mentees qualified for KCB
loans; of these, 20% (1 out of 5) also secured an additional loan from
KNCC, while another 20% (1 out of 5) was accepted into a program
with the IKEA Foundation. In addition, one mentee tripled her
livestock numbers from 4 to 13, demonstrating tangible business
growth.
• Entrepreneurial Support: Assisted mentees in identifying market
opportunities, refining business models, and accessing funding to
scale operations.
• Performance Monitoring: Tracked mentees progress, providing
actionable feedback and tailored solutions to overcome challenges
and achieve milestones.
• Collaboration & Alignment: Partnered with KCB Foundation and
Mastercard teams to align program objectives with broader youth
employment and economic empowerment goals.
