I led the MEP team in this project by building over 20 no’s of 11KV DEWA substations, water tanks, pump room, facility buildings, theatre and infrastructure works. I was also involved in coordinating, supervising and monitoring MEP subcontractor’s scope of HV/LV works for the Lapita Hotel, LEGOLAND, Motion Gate and Bollywood being an experienced team leader with design and consultancy background in order to accomplish these projects successfully.
In addition to the above, I was checking the works in accordance to local authority regulations and international standards such as BS, IEE.
Gather data from the Architect or Client which are relevant to establish the basis for the design.
Identify space requirement for building engineering services plant and energy transport systems so that the building is designed holistically.
Design building engineering systems and plant to achieve their intended function within budget. This generally includes detailed calculations.
Direct and monitor Senior/CAD Technicians to ensure designs are accurate, are coordinated across disciplines and are produced effectively.
Liaise with other disciplines (engineering, architectural, civil, QS) to ensure that requirements are coordinated.
Responsible in preparation of the Specifications and Tender Documents.
Prepare design and calculations for review and approval by the Local Authorities and process approvals to facilitate building permits and compliance with local Regulations.
Provide technical back‐up/clarifications to Site Engineers and attend site meetings where required.
Attend meetings with various parties (Clients, Suppliers, and Local Authorities) to clarify/confirm authority requirements, scope of work and design changes.
Design and Implementation of all security and low current systems.
