Georgetown Model United Nations Organizer

September 2022 - Present

Georgetown University in Qatar

Ar Rayyan, Qatar

September 2022 - Present

I manage the planning and execution of Georgetown Model United Nations (GMUN), one of Georgetown University in Qatar’s largest and most internationally recognized student-led programs. Over the past three years, I have overseen eleven international conferences that brought together more than four thousand delegates from over eighty schools and universities across the Middle East, South Asia, and Europe. Each year, I coordinate a team of over one hundred student staff, volunteers, and committee chairs to ensure smooth logistics, scheduling, and communication before and during the event. My responsibilities include supervising conference operations, coordinating with sponsors and faculty advisors, managing registration systems, and maintaining consistent quality across all sessions. A major part of my work focuses on introducing innovation and expanding GMUN’s academic impact. I led the creation of Georgetown’s first AI-integrated delegate preparation tools, including a chatbot that assists over two thousand annual participants and interactive training videos now used by schools worldwide. I also co-developed new educational initiatives such as the Counselor Symposium and the Delegate Masterclass Series, which connected more than one thousand students and educators to strengthen skills in negotiation, diplomacy, and leadership. Additionally, I helped establish the first regional GMUN for university-level participants, which united over three hundred delegates from ten countries across the Gulf and Central Asia. Through this role, I have developed advanced skills in event management, leadership, and cross-cultural coordination. I have learned to manage large teams, deliver high-quality programs under tight deadlines, and uphold Georgetown’s academic and community values while ensuring that each conference reflects professionalism, inclusivity, and excellence.
