Amtech Medical is leading medical consumables distributor in New Zealand.
My role was to manage three projects; two software development pipelines one operates in Agile Kanban adding features to a serverless software in production nearing end of life. Second project is Scrum green field web application used for ordering medical supplies. The third project is Waterfall based Cyber Security Standards (NZISM, ISO2700, NIST CSF-1.1) Implementation in the organization (Policies writing, implementation, Identification and Implementation of Security Controls and third party conformance audit).
Quick Implants NZ is a startup, aiming to additive manufacturing the orthopedic trauma implants, the challenges includes selection of biomaterial, its augmentation to ensure proper strength, software development to ease the process and operational management of remote autonomous manufacturing units with least human intervention.
My role has been the agile project management of software and embedded system development. This involves management of 4 software developers (remote) two mechanical engineers and a product testing team of 3 testers (1 coding, 1 embedded systems and 1 mechanical). Application architecture is microservices follow MVC and is developed in DotNet whereas control software is developed in Python, embedded C is used to program the microcontrollers, As the Microservices architecture is used with dockers on prem and ECS on cloud.
Tutoring micro credentials online to Part time students, have taught Cyber Security Analyst (CompTia CySA), CompTia A+ Certificate and L7 Cloud Engineering Course (Open Source Integration) also designed a course for blended delivery title "Basics of Networking and Security". In addition to that also conducted 3 days workshops on Ethical Hacking.
1. Designing Cardiac Holter in compliance with global Healthcare devices standards, Challenges are continuous data streaming to AWS, compact size, and 7days of operation on battery without a restart.
2. Proposed and Prototype demonstrated an automation/IoT solution to Kaipaki Dairies (Dairy Solutions) of automation and data acquisition of the milk pasteurization process. Along with the automated recording of key data (for compliance) from key locations of their assembly and supply line.

Currently supervising 4 IoT Final projects involving multiple sensors IoT Platforms and different modes of communications, several completed successfully in one year. Used Low Power BLE, WiFi, LoRaWAN and other LPWA standards for connectivity.
Developed a large scale IoT Research Project Proposal for the Organization to move forward in the direction.
I worked on different embedded systems from assembly language to C++ Embedded and a variety of Microcontrollers architectures including Atmel895x, AVR, PIC, ARM Cortex, ESP8266 etc. Also have developed LoRA IoT's with Arduino/Raspberry PI Architectures
Deployed a small scale with expansion capabilities of Large-scale Low power wireless sensor networks to develop and simulate a LoRaWAN environment. Modified MAC layer to enhance security and connectivity with lower power consumption.
Developed a Multi-Channel (868MHz, 915MHz, and 433MHz) modular LoRaWAN gateway to connect 1000+ sensors to a cloud server.
Deployed Thingsboard Server on Google cloud instance and KaaIoT on AWS EC2.
Developing resources for IoT/Wireless Sensors Laboratory
Worked on two platforms so far in terms of IoT; Raspberry Pi, ESP32, ESP8266, LoRaPi, Dragino, LoRa and Arduino as hardware and in cloud AWS IoT and ThinkSpeak.
Consulted BlockSol, in developing the product roadmaps for three avenues of the blockchain business, development of a 9nm ASIC Miner, Emergent Cooling Mining Farm (Crowdfunded), AI-Based Algorithm to predict market trends and a Distributed Ledger Exchange (Maverick 1)
• Consulted and Developed Product Roadmap for designing and instrumentation and flow systems for emergent cooling systems for SHA256 miners.
• Deployed SHA256 (neural network-based) algorithm and compared the cost to benefit ratio for Miners on Cloud Servers and FPGA.
• Modified AntMiner S9 to use in the emergent cooling system and analysed the output.
• Consulted at the feasibility and costing stage of the development of 36TH/Sec Miner included 9nm ASIC for the computations.
• Designed and deployed a network of parallel instances (EC2 over VPC) on the cloud to perform parallel processing.
• Managed a project to develop an AI-based system to predict the crypto-currency market included a team of five software developers and two statistical traders.

Managed the development of 3 hours of SCORM based eLearning content for the AeroTrain Corporation. My role was to come up with instructions and get the appropriate graphic content designed suitable for the instructions. At the later stage I also participated in the reviews, testing and improvement of the material. The eLearning was designed to deliver the training of EASA Part 66b paper for aircraft engineering.

The project was outsourced completely; scope included storyboarding, designing and implementation of the e-learning with SCORM/TinCan Api support to integrate with SABA Cloud ELMS(Enterprise Learning Management System). (Software used Adobe Captivate 7.0, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Edge)

Projects Managed:
• Guards Rationalization Project
Replaced Night Guards from 113 Premises across the country from effecting Alarm and CCTV Monitoring Systems. The Scope included Civil Works to secure the perimeter of premises, Alarm System Up gradation to secure the Entrances and key areas of the Branches. It was a kind of ECM and CCPM Project, we worked in tight deadlines. Every premise presented a new challenge, was depending heavily on vendors and regional teams and managed the project in three regions.
• Complaint Management System
Designing In House Complaint Management and logging System for CCTV, Alarm Systems and Guarding Complaints Logging and workflow for necessary escalation. Used traditional project management methodology.
• Remote Status Monitoring System
Architected and Implemented a System capable of monitoring Alarm System Status, UPS and Battery Backup, CCTV Systems Faults and shall inform the Standard Chartered Bank Regional control Rooms in case if any event occurs. Will display the events over Geographical Information System. Used CCPM Technique to complete the Project.
• Security Control Room Up gradation
Upgrading of the Security Control Room included Complete interior renovation, civil works and the installation of LED Video Wall of 21ft by 3ft. for the remote CCTV Monitoring, Alarm System Monitoring, CCTV Events Monitoring and GIS. Used Event Chain Project Management to Manage cross functional (Civil, Electronics, Electrical and Computation) Tasks and teams.
Operational Responsibilities: • Identification of risks and threats and mitigation of the risk by the utilization of Security Technology.
• Conduction and Delivery of Staff Awareness Trainings to operate security equipment.
• Management of Technical Operations of Physical Security Nationwide.
• Oversaw the teams of 15 Associate Engineers divided in three different regions, for the maintenance of Security Installations over the network of 162 Branches and 200+ premises.

Masters Project: Project Supervisor: Prof Rahim Taffazoli, Centre for Communication Systems Research (CCSR), University of Surrey, United Kingdom Topic: Closed Loop Transmit Diversity Schemes for 3G Communication Systems. Term Projects: Designed 5.25GHz Band Pass Filter and 10GHz 2.5dB Amplifier in microstrip circuits for Advance Technology Institute, University of Surrey. Designed a Simulation model of Enhanced TCP over satellite, in NI LabView, under the supervision of Dr. Z. Sun, CCSR, University of Surrey, UK.
Final Year Project: Off-road Explorer; A GUV (Ground Unmanned Vehicle) capable of carrying out missions in off-road environments designed to explore the path between certain points where human excess is endangered. Main Modules: Telemetry, Obstacle Avoidance, Inertial Navigation System. Measurement of Physical Distances by using Image Processing The programming is done in NI LabView and the project is capable of measuring exact distances from the certain objects, was designed for obstacle avoidance.
