• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in assembly, installation, and repair of pipes, fittings, and
fixtures of heating, water supply, sprinkler, and waste disposal systems for buildings.
• Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of plumbing expenditures, and
procedures for plumbing systems maintenance.
• Estimates material and labor, Monitors the acquisition and use of materials.
• Recruit & Trains employees of new work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations, work policies, and
plumbing codes.
• Ensures budgetary guidelines are met; prioritizes expenditures to stay within budget and assists in the preparation
of capital and operations budgets.
• Review blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing
materials
• Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using
measuring instruments such as rulers and levels.
• Supervising for Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angle, using hand and power tools or machines
such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines
• Keep records of assignments and produce detailed work reports.
• Read isometric drawings, derive location, orientation, size and diameter of piping, other equipment and any other
tasks involved in installing/maintaining piping systems.
• Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication
of leaks.
• Supervises day-to-day operations on assigned Piping & plumbing tasks
• Responsible for submitting daily and progress reports.
• Inspect work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
