• In 2011 the Accident frequency rate has decreased by 47% following a series of measures introduced during the year.

• Oversaw the integration of VINCI HS&E systems into Taylor Woodrow.
• Introduced Behavioural Safety programme into VINCI in 2007 and have continued and expanded the scope.
• Providing whole business both leading and lagging performance measurement with business information software.

• Consulted by HSE on HS (G) 168 Fire Safety in Construction rewrite and Policy on Construction Dust.

• Responsible for an average of 30 sites in the construction and engineering fields. Industries covered include building, civil engineering, utilities, engineering construction, building services, pipework, insulation, chemical, rail, nuclear and offshore including associated manufacturing premises, office premises and laboratories throughout Europe. Contract values from £200 000 to £100million
• Advising on current best practice and current legislative standards to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental protection.
• Working closely with project teams identifying the main hazards and aspects that are, or will be present, the levels of risk and the precautions to be implemented as a part of the risk assessment process.
• Investigating accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences and the production of reports including legal provisions and recommendations.
• Designing and providing health, safety and environmental training courses.
• Liaising with directors, management, employees and relevant enforcing authorities promoting high standards of Health, Safety and Environmental Protection

Project Engineer - Friction Task force

• Member of the Friction task force manufacturing engineering team
• Application of manufacturing technology and engineering expertise to introduce improvements in flow and process of manufacturing plants
• Introduced BS7750 successfully into manufacturing plant
• Utilised Failure mode and effects analysis (F.M.E.A.) which allowed me to identify potential problems and corrective actions in the process and production lines leading to efficiency improvements
• Responsible for material utilisation and waste minimisation on the site that led to savings of thousands of pounds through re-use of materials and energy monitoring.
• Involved in a focus group involving engineering, production, quality and materials personnel highlighting areas of research and potential productivity improvements identifying resources and planning project targets.
