Translator & Admin
Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Co. Ltd. (SAMREF)
Total years of experience :25 years, 5 Months
My main work area is translation of all types (English to Arabic and/or vice versa) including annual reports/minutes of meetings of the Board of Directors, contracts, correspondences (interoffice or outside), memo, etc. However, I handle other jobs of administrative nature e.g. create presentations on the top managerial level, edit/proofread articles for all Company publications (the monthly newsletter and others) beside to translation tasks related to the same, create response letters (English/Arabic) sent to all stakeholders and others, etc.
Translation is a broad-spectrum work related to almost all business areas. Therefore, I usually handle requests directly received from different managerial levels, including top management. However, I still report to my immediate supervisor who is a Superintendent according to the Organization Chart.
I've so many contributions throughout my service with SAMREF e.g. review of Procedures/Policies, creation of handbooks and other ceremonial publications, etc.
I consider leaving my work in search for a better situation but I'm still working.

NCTC General Affairs was a pivotal department used to be responsible for almost all corporate admin issues with broad authorities over all other departments. As such, intensive tasks were there for everybody to cover. For myself, translation was one of my jobs beside other admin works.
BEI is a leading eduation/training organization in Sudan. It was a rare and good opportunity for me as a fresh gradute at that time, where I'd been working as an English langauge instructor.
During my course of study, I showed high excellences, and therefore, I had been selected to take the honor degree (5yrs). However, I opted for graduating in four years (w/general grade: VG) to have the advantage of being joint-degree graduate so as to have a wider chance to enter the work market.
