WNY is the Project Management, Construction Management & Employer’s Representative for the Exhibition (MEC and Guest Experience Designers) in the UAE National Pavilion Expo 2020.

I have been in this position with the subcontractor in charge of the Exhibition Fit-Out in The Grand Egyptian Museum. As DPM I have been involved in the following departments:
- Construction: leading the construction team, composed of 1 Construction Manager, 2 Site Managers and 2 Site Engineers. This team was responsible for the installation on site (site surveys, setting out, deliveries on site, preliminary works, installation and handing over), coordinating all the activities with the main contractor and other subcontractors.
- Quality: leading the quality team composed of 1 Quality Manager, 1 Quality Technician and 2 Quality Officers; that was responsible to ensure compliance with the quality plan, submitting and following up: the material approval request, surveying inspection request, material inspection request and quality inspection request.
- Health and Safety: responsible of a team composed by 2 Safety Engineer that has been the responsible for ensuring the safety on site and ensure compliance with the H&S plan.
- Lighting: I have been responsible for coordinating the lighting engineer, the electrical engineer and the procurement department to ensure the delivery of a value engineer lighting option that meets the needs and expectations of the client.
- Design/Fabrication: I have been the link between the Engineering team and the production, ensuring that all the elements are constructed according to the approved design and identifying all the conflicts detected during manufacturing.
- Commercial: I have collaborated in elaborating the variations due to changes in design and I have provided all the necessary documentation to produce the valuations.

I have been the responsible to successfully deliver the below listed projects, fitting the time, budget and specification requirements.
- Montgomery Square, Wood Wharf Business Park Marketing Suite (June 2018 - August 2018).
- Wimbledon No.1 Court Project (July 2017 - May 2018).

I have been in charge to prepare the tenders, based on the study of the plans, specifications, schemes, and contractual conditions of the project; in addition to negotiating with the contractor to offer the best value for money conditions. In my last year working as estimator I prepared offers, up to £ 10M, for fit out on new construction and renovations; I was responsible for the awarding of the biggest project of the company so far; and the turnover increased 10% above that was planned.

My duties were: researching and assessing information from a variety of sources in order to prepare accurate estimates; finding out what the client wants; researching materials, equipment and labor costs; collecting quotes from materials suppliers; preparing and submitting quotations for work; and helping with bids for new contracts; extracting precise quantities from AutoCAD drawings; drawing templates for production.

For almost two year I have been working as Quantity Surveyor and Architectural Technician as freelance. I collaborated with architecture studios (from Spain and UK) in the development of design drawings, detail drawings, specifications and bill of quantities for new and refurbished buildings. I have also assisted contractors in tendering process of residential and commercial projects.

During the construction of the solar thermal power station Termosol I (Badajoz, Spain), 50 MW. My main duties were ensure the effective implementation of the quality program and ensure that the appropriate materials and equipment are available for inspection and test. Determine the extent and applicability of the quality program to the assigned functional area. Establish and maintain client and subcontractor relationships to assure free communication of information and reasonable resolution of quality problems so that quality goals are attained with minimal rework and repair. Provide periodic reports regarding the effectiveness of the quality program.

In the expansion of the Cartagena refinery my main
duties were: welding map control; definition and prepare documentation for hydraulic tests; NDT control; elaboration of isometric and as-built plans; assist in the preparation of the final dossier.

In this role I was responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the construction of prefabricated buildings (6 electrical substations and 4 control buildings), within the project C-10 of expansion of Repsol refinery in Cartagena. Some of my tasks were: respect the timescales, costs and resources needed to deliver the project; negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers for materials and
services; resolve any issues/ delays which may occur; act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives; setting out, levelling and surveying the site; checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations; ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications; managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client; liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project; liaising with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress; day-to-day management of the
site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors;
planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines; overseeing quality control, health and safety matters on site; preparing reports as required; resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise; prepare the final report at the end of the project.

Assisting in the control and monitor of: piping installations; steel structures; static equipment; rotating equipment; painting and insulation. In this position I developed a wide knowledge of P&ID, Plot Plan, Isometrics and Welding.
