Handling and managing the whole office procurement and contracting. Assisting in managing the Operations department including the HR, travel, and logistics functional units during the absence of the operations manager. Accomplishments and duties including but not limited to:
- Oversaw the office annual budget ensuring monthly expenses fell within the monthly forecasted budget.
- Educated to provide technical direction and guidance while formulating the contract specifications and statement of work.
- Assisted in developing and forecasting a one million budget.
- Commended by auditors in efficiently applying the corporate procurement rules and regulations.
- Lead and supervise the tendering processes and evaluation, managing the contract and contractor, legal considerations and payment conditions, sourcing strategy, supplier selection and evaluation, and quality management.
- Procurement plan creation for the whole business unit. Monitor them and ensure their implementation.
- Organization of procurement processes including preparation, conduct, and managing of RFQs, ITBs and RFPs, receipt of quotations, bids or proposals, their evaluation, negotiation of certain
conditions of contracts in full compliance with UN Women rules and regulations.
- Preparation of contracts in and outside the ERP system (ATLAS).
- Being a member of the Local and Regional Procurement Review Committee (L/R-PRC), I undertake the review of the procurement actions conducted by projects in accordance with UN Women financial rules and regulations, internal control framework, delegation of authority, and procurement manual while ensure their fairness, competitiveness, transparency, and provide the best value for money.
- Ensures implementation of sourcing strategy and e-procurement tools
- Development and update of the rosters of suppliers, implementation of supplier selection and evaluation.
- Ensures proper control of CO Assets focusing on achievement of the following results:
a- Proper management of UNW assets, facilities and logistical services, including full compliance with IPSAS in the accounting for the procurement, utilization and disposal of the UNW’s assets.
b- Implementation of Inventory and physical verification control in the CO and projects.
- Formulated the ICT strategy, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and developed the Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
- Develop the Roll-out plan of the different ICT systems which effectively contribute to the system success
- Comply with United Nations policies and procedures.
