The Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Division, one of the SABIC affiliate which includes a total of 9 plants, Phenolics, Oleifin (Cracker), Poly Carbonate, Poly Propelyne, High Density PolyEthylene, Low Density PolyEthylene, Amines, Utility & Offsites, Ethylene Oxide & Ethylene Glycol. Eventhough the main work centre assigned for me is Phenolics plant, rotational basis inspection and shutdown activities attended in all plants.
Worked in PMT, PRP, OIP, Commissioning and start up activities and In-service Plant Inspection in Phenolics and Polycarbonate plants.
Attend shutdown inspection activities in Oleifin plant and Phenolics plant consists of Full and partial Internal, External inspection activities, Repair activities in Ethylene cracker furnace, Columns, Tanks, Exchangers etc.
Familiar with SAP work order creation, recommendation, close out etc..
Preparation of Corrosion Loop, Piping Criticality Assessment & Identification as a team member from Inspection with Process Engineers.
Familiar with the techniques like profile radiography to find out the blockage & local corrosion, IR thermography for hot spot identification & Passing of valves, Borescopic Inspection in Exchangers for corrosion, damage detection & process blockage, PMI for material verification (X-ray and optical emission) etc.
RBI implementation in Piping and Equipments through Meridium software.
Inspection Report (IR) and Field Inspection Note preparation and Inspection as Per SKIMS procedure.
Risk assessments, Risk Based Inspection, Inspection Reports Management, TML, Baseline and periodic thickness reading in Chemical Injection points and updation by using Meridium version 3.4.5 for Phenolics plant.
Witness and Review of RT film, MT, PT, UT, Hardness and PWHT etc.
Peaking, Bending, Flatness, Verticality Inspection of Storage tanks.
Inspection of Internals prior to final close out of equipments.
Witnessing the Hydro test of Shell and Tubes of Exchanger at site.
Company (EPC Contractor) engaged in the Piping, Pipeline work to connect with various GOSP for ARAMCO (Optimize Production in Mubarraz Area) based on ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B 31.8, SAES-W-12-01, SAES-W-11-01 ETC.
Saudi Aramco approved Client QC Welding Inspector, SAP # 70008877.
Connecting to existing piping by Hot tapping as per approved procedure with all NDT activities.
RFI and Checklist preparation and Inspection from Aramco Inspector.
Co-ordinate with Third party inspector to conduct the PQR and WQT.
Ensure all Welding processes are as per approved WPS, Welding Consumables are certified and Welders & Operators are Qualified.
Pre - During - Post Inspection of Weld joints.
Co-ordinate with NDT Contractor, Third party Inspector and Aramco Inspector in connection with RT.
The company engaged in the manufacturing, Installation and Coating of Spiral Welded Pipe(600mm to 3500mm Dia), Fittings, Storage Tanks and Restrained &Non Restrained Structural supports.
Preparation of PQR, WPS & Welder Qualification Records for SMAW, SAW, MIG and TIG Processes.
Train and supervise the welders as per approved WPS.
Raw material & Welding consumable Inspection with the approved Inspection Test Plan.
Ensure all Welding processes are as per approved WPS, Welding Consumables are certified and Welders & Operators are Qualified.
Visual Weld Inspection, Pipe End Bevel Inspection, Pipe Dimension Checking, Weld Macro Examination etc., and Recording as per QCP & ITP.
Verification and review of Non Destructive Inspections (UT, MPI, RT and PT).
In-charge for all Mechanical (Tensile, Guided Bend, Impact &Hardness) and Chemical Analysis in our new Laboratory as per API 5L, ASTM A 370 etc from test sampling from pipe to MTC preparation.
Liaise with client (Qatar Petroleum, Ras Gas, Qatar Gas) and Third Party (Chiyoda - Technip, Consolidated Contractors Co., Germenischer Lyoid., Bureau of Veritas ) Inspectors.
Faced Audits from API, Qatar Gas, Ras Gas and Chiyoda Technip etc
The company engaged with the manufacturing and Installation of spiral welded steel pipe, and Storage tanks from Hot rolled coil based on API-5L & ARAMCO specifications.
Working as a Hub between QA/QC Manager, QC Inspectors, Data capture and Production Dept.
Preparation of PQR, WPS & Welder Qualification Records as per API -5L, API 1104, ASME IX and ARAMCO Specifications for SMAW, SAW, MIG and TIG Processes.
Maintaining and Controlling of all Inspection, Measuring and Testing activities and equipments.
Identifying and Recording of all quality related problems and give suggestions to QA Manager.
Raw material (Hot Rolled Steel Coil) & Welding consumable Inspection with certificates and approving for usage.
Witnessing and coordinating for Mechanical tests with Customer representatives.
Visual Weld Inspection, Pipe End Bevel Inspection, Pipe Dimension Checking, Weld Macro Examination, Residual Magnetism, Residual Stress & Hydro Test Inspection and Recording as per QCP & MITPS.
Reporting of Product Non conformance and suggestions to QA Manger.
Ultrasonic Inspection of Pipe ends, Pipe body, Skelp weld and Helical weld Inspection as Online, Offline and Manual UT systems and recording.
Magnetic Particle Inspection of Pipe body and pipe ends for plate defects and recording.
Final Inspection of pipe & Stencil indications and give permission to Store by verifying the acceptability in various sections as per the route card and color code in the pipe.
Final approval to dispatch the pipes to the client as signing off the Release Note by verifying all tests and results.
Internal certification for the Fluoroscopic X-ray & RT film Interpretation and Penetrant Testing.
Preparatory works with QA Manager in connection with the ISO, API, SAFETY COUNCIL and ARAMCO audits.
Safety In Charge in some locations inside the plant and qualified First Aider in the Company.
Company Engaged for the Turn around maintenance activities, Construction, Erection and Maintenance of Water, Oil and Steam Pipe lines, Boilers, Heat exchangers, Pressure vessels, Tanks, Ships etc as per the drawing and contract in shutdown time as well in the various plants of Refinery and Shipyard.
Turn around inspection activities with owner inspector for various Heaters, Boliers, Columns, Furnaces, Heat Exchangers etc.
Material Inspection of Plates, Pipes and Consumables.
Pre - During - Post Inspection of Welds as per approved Drawing and WPS.
Maintaining and Controlling of all Inspection, Measuring and Testing activities and equipments.
PQR, WPS, and Welders qualification records preparation as per API 1104, ASME IX, and the Refinery Specifications.
Offering the NDT Inspection like RT, UT, MT, PT and hardness test after PWHT and verifying its results and take approval from Client and TPI.
Corrective and preventive actions to all non-conformances reported by the Supervisors after checking.Witnessing the Hydro test with client.
Fire and Safety Training and awareness to laborers as an authorized certified person from National safety council & Kochi Refineries of India.
Supervised the entire construction and Commissioning activities of a new Water tube Boiler with mountings and accessories, Water treatment plant, and its Piping.
Managing the Laborers assigned to the work.
Arranging the welders for performance qualification and approving it from consultant.
Ensure All welding operations are conducted by the approved WPS, QCP and MITPS from Thermax Co. prepared based on ASME IX, ASME VIII, ASME B 31.3 and TECC procedures.

Offering the NDT Inspections like RT, PT and Hardness test after PWHT as per the ASME V and Thermax Specifications.
Hydro testing, Commissioning and approving from the consultant and Factories and Boilers Dept.
Supervised the various New and Repair of Water, Acid, and Steam Pipe lines and Repair work in Tanks, Boilers and Vessels as per the Petrochemical Standards and Procedures in shutdown period as well.
Turn around maintenance activities in Boilers, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Tanks etc.
Work conduction as per the Drawing, WPS, and QCP.
Preparing and maintaining the records for PQR, WPS and Performance Qualification of Welders.
Weld Joint Inspection before, during and after the welding.
Familiarity with various Quality Inspections and NDT Inspections like RT, MPI, PT and Hardness checking after the PWHT.
Doing the UT and MPI as Online, Offline and Manual in Plates and Welding approved by ARAMCO.
iNTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION IN WELDING INSPETOR PERSONNEL APPROVED BY THE ARAMCO.
